(Minghui.org) Ms. Bi Yanmei, a 38-year-old Falun Gong practitioner from Dezhou City, Shandong Province, was followed and arrested by officers from the Jianzigu Police Station for distributing Falun Gong truth-clarification materials on October 29, 2012. Ms. Bi collapsed during the interrogation and was rushed to the emergency room. Subsequently, the police attempted to extort money from her family. The family, outraged at the illegal arrest and mistreatment of Ms. Bi, denounced the police and placed the responsibility of her collapse squarely on their shoulders.
After her arrest, several police officers pushed and shoved her. They twisted her arms behind her back and slammed her head against the wall. AFter learning of the arrest, Ms. Bi's family rushed to the police station to demand her release. The police lied to them, saying that she was not there.
Ms. Bi's house and her sister's house were ransacked by the police. Liu Dawei, captain of the Domestic Security Division of the Decheng Police Department, brought in several officers to interrogate Ms. Bi at the Jianzigu Police Station. Liu and another officer started questioning Ms. Bi, demanding to know where she got the truth-clarification materials.
During the interrogation, Ms. Bi became ill and started vomiting. The police forced her to stand against the wall and threatened her, saying, “Someone will take you away shortly.” Ms. Bi started to tremble uncontrollably and frothed at the mouth. She fell down unconscious. The police called an ambulance and took her to a local hospital. Ms. Bi regained consciousness after being resuscitated by the doctor. The police watched her from outside the emergency room.
The next afternoon, Liu went to the hospital and attempted to take Ms. Bi away. Ms. Bi's symptoms recurred. The doctor ordered the police out and started the resuscitation again. Meanwhile, Ms. Bi's family rushed to the hospital. They started taking photos. Liu shouted, “Who are you? Stop taking pictures!” He grabbed the camera and destroyed the film.
Liu ordered the hospital to discharge Ms. Bi and demanded that her family pay $30,000 for bail. Ms. Bi's family refused and said angrily, “Look what you have done her! If she dies, we will sue you.” Liu said, “Sue me then!” and left.
Ms. Bi was taken home by her family after three days in the hospital. Her family, who is not rich, incurred over $4,000 in medical bills.
A lifetime of illness cured through Falun Gong
When Ms. Bi was young, she suffered from many physical problems, including hypertension, skin disease, swelling in the limbs, and she bled easily. Because of her health, she was unable to go to school. She had four surgeries, including having her appendix removed. She lived in constant, severe pain.
While on the verge of death, Ms. Bi was introduced to Falun Gong in 1995 through a friend. She was illiterate, but through studying Zhuan Falun with other practitioners, she was able to gradually recognize most of the words in the book. She found the meaning of her life. Shortly after she started practicing Falun Gong, all her illnesses that the hospitals could not treat miraculously disappeared.
For 18 years since she began practicing Falun Gong, Ms. Bi has been very happy, healthy, and strong. She never had to take any medicine or be hospitalized. However, after her violent arrest and traumatic experience at the hands of the police, her health problems quickly recurred. She was rushed to the hospital for resuscitation and hospitalized. Her family and neighbors all know that the cause of her regression is the Chinese Communist Party, the scourge of humanity.
