(Minghui.org) I am a female Falun Dafa practitioner in my seventies who has cultivated Falun Dafa for over ten years. Dafa has become my life, and I walk the path to validate Dafa in the world. I would like to share a story which occurred a few years ago.
On February 9, 2009, my husband asked me to attend a show in Folk Village in the evening. When I left home, I took a full bag of Falun Gong flyers and newspapers with me.
We sat down to watch the show and as I felt really bored I left the Folk Village at around 9 p.m., and began to put Falun Gong flyers on the bikes in the parking lot.
A security guard came over, and asked, “What are you distributing?” I replied calmly, “They are flyers explaining what Falun Gong is. Whoever reads them will understand the truth.” He dragged me to the security office. I sat on a sofa, and began to send forth righteous thoughts. The security guard started to call several departments.
Shortly after, several people came from the brainwashing section, the 610 Office, and the police station. They stayed outside discussing what to do with me.
I continued to send forth righteous thoughts. I was a Dafa practitioner here in this place saving people. No one could persecute a Dafa practitioner. I was distributing the facts about Falun Gong and this is a noble and most righteous action. I would not allow the old forces to utilize the police to persecute me, nor to persecute sentient beings.
I sent forth righteous thoughts attentively. The guards and police seemed to be discussing something, and no one paid attention to me.
Time passed. A police captain held his stomach and said to me: “Are you discharging your thoughts? My stomach aches!” He ran out. After a while, he came in and read the materials I brought. I continued to send forth righteous thoughts. He shouted, “Are you discharging again? My head hurts.” However, he didn't stop me from sending forth righteous thoughts.
I continued to send righteous thoughts. Two hours passed by. I was surrounded by a strong energy field. I had no fear at all, and felt that Master Li was with me. In the meantime, the police kept themselves busy, and no one bothered me.
The police spread the materials all over on the ground, and took pictures. I thought righteously that they could not take any pictures. The materials were in the other dimension, and the camera didn't work.
I told them whatever came to my mind about Falun Gong, such as that Falun Dafa is good, and how many people practice Falun Gong and have benefited from it. The Tiananmen self-immolation was a hoax. Falun Gong has spread to over 100 countries, China is the only country to ban Falun Gong, and Jiang Zemin persecuted Falun Gong out of jealousy.
A policeman asked, “Why not practice other Qigong [since Falun Gong is banned]?” I said, “Other Qigong are not as powerful as Falun Gong is. My illnesses were cured right away when I practiced Falun Gong. I know many people who have benefited from Falun Gong, just like me. How many medical expenses have we saved for the country! Why is Falun Gong welcomed in all countries except China? Isn't this an irrational persecution?” A policemen tried to stop me by telling me to shut up and I said, “I have to tell you the truth.” I told them to recite “Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,” and they will be saved when calamities happen. I told them to recite it all the time. I kept on telling them the truth and I had no fear at all.
It was almost midnight. The guards sent me to a police station and I told everyone I met about Falun Gong. The police wanted to take my photo, but I refused. They forced me to take the photo. I thought, “The camera won't work. Even if the photo is taken, it won't be me on the photo.”
It was almost 12 a.m., and I began to send forth righteous thoughts. The policewoman who was watching me said, “It's not time yet to send righteous thoughts is it?” I asked, “How do you know about sending forth righteous thoughts? I asked her if anyone practices Falun Gong in her family?” She said, “None of your business.” After she finished her record, she didn't ask for my signature and I kept clarifying the truth to her.
After 12 a.m., she said, “You may go home.” I said, “Ok.” She said, “Hold on, I'll get someone to give you a ride.”
I said, “Thank you, but I'll take a bus.” She said, “It's too late to take a bus. I know you won't take a taxi.”
Soon a white car drove up with no police markings on it. I got in the car and a policeman and policewoman started taking me home. I told them that self-immolation was a hoax, and they should quit the Communist Party to keep safe. The policewoman said, “He [the policeman] has already quit the party.” I said, “Good. But your job is not good. It has a lot to do with persecuting good people.” He said, “I've been thinking about changing my job!” I said, “That's good.”
By 2 a.m. I was safely at my home.
It was a five-hour battle with the old evil forces and good prevailed over evil.
I examined myself afterwards. I had been diligent in rectifying myself with Fa at that time. That's why I had a pure mind without distractions during the police's attempts to persecute me. Master Li Hongzhi taught us in “Stop the Evil Acts with Righteous Thoughts”:
“... you have strong righteous thoughts, no fear, and no human attachments, apprehension, or hatred; only when you're in that state will it be effective, and it will take effect as soon as your thoughts emerge.”
“The basis of what Dafa disciples do is saving people and doing good. These righteous thoughts are to stop wicked people from doing evil, to warn other bad people, and to prevent the world's people from committing sins, and their purpose is still to save all beings.”
I had pure righteous thoughts, no fear, and no human attachments at that time. I sent forth righteous thoughts in an open and dignified manner, and told people the truth without a second thought. I was completely selfless. Since my character had reached the standard of a certain level, Master Li prevented the evil forces from persecuting me.
In 2001 when I was persecuted, I didn't do well then.
It is just like Master Li taught in “Fa Teaching Given at the Epoch Times Meeting
“Human attachments are what block your path, and thus the entire journey has been bumpy and filled with constant troubles. Because there are too many human attachments involved, people try to defend themselves when problems come up, rather than defend the Fa.”
This is absolutely true. We must genuinely cultivate ourselves, as there are no shortcuts in cultivation.
