Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Fang Yu, a senior engineer in Tongling Village, Anhui Province, was illegally arrested in a factory in Gaoyao Village, Zhaoqing, Guangdong Province, by police officers from her hometown and taken back to Anhui Province.
Ms. Fang was previously the manager of Tongling Real Estate Developing Company, the manager of Tongling Supervision Company, and the general manager of Chengtou Company in Tongling. All her employees recognized that she cared about her employees and was fair and did not accept bribes. She was nominated as a candidate for Deputy Governor in her area. When she was the manager of the real estate company, she followed the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and never took bribes or embezzled any money.
Ms. Fang was arrested, detained, and tortured many times by the Chinese Communist Party for refusing to renounce Falun Gong. In Tongling Village in May 2009, she explained the facts about Falun Gong to chief Hong Wei of the local 610 Office and Rong Jun, the chief of the Domestic Security Division. They arrested her and confiscated her laptop, cell phone, bank card, and other personal belongings. She was then secretly sentenced--without a trial--to seven years in prison.
Ms. Fang went on a hunger strike in prison and was in critical condition. The police sent her back to her family to avoid being held responsible in case she died. To avoid further persecution, Ms. Fang left her family and became homeless in July 2009. She made a living as a babysitter in Shenzhen. She was homeless for four years, and experienced all kinds of tribulations. But agents of the CCP still harassed her family members frequently.
It was said that police from Anhui Province arrested her this time when she was in her dormitory. They took away materials used for informing people about Falun Gong and the persecution.
