(Minghui.org) Nearly 1,000 Falun Gong practitioners gathered in Copenhagen City Hall Square on July 20 for a rally to focus attention on the Chinese Communist Party’s brutal persecution of Falun Gong, especially forced live organ harvesting. It was 14 years to the day since the CCP initiated the persecution of Falun Gong. The participants seek an immediate end to the persecution and that justice be served.
On July 20, European Falun Gong practitioners held a rally to protest the persecution on Copenhagen City Hall Square.
After a large parade in Copenhagen's city centre, nearly 1,000 practitioners held a rally on the city hall square. The Divine Land Marching Band played Falun Dafa Is Good, Falun King, Drums and Trumpets Shake the World of Ten Directions, and Deliverance of Treasure . Other practitioners held up hundreds of banners in Chinese, English, and Danish. It was a compelling sight. Their messages included: “Immediately Put an End to the Persecution of Faun Gong,” “Disintegrate the CCP, Stop the Persecution,” “Heaven Will Destroy the CCP,” “Quit the Communist Party, Youth League, and Youth Pioneers,” and “Bring Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan, Liu Jing, and Zhou Yongkang to Justice.”
The rally started at 3:30 p.m. and lasted until after 5. In the blazing hot sunshine, the practitioners, who took up half the square, stood tall and paid close attention.
Local residents, passersby, and tourists from all over the world stopped to listen to the music and the speeches. Many signed the petition protesting the live organ harvesting.
Signing the petition against live organ harvesting
Mr. Wenxin Wu, Chairman of the European Falun Dafa Association, called upon the Danish people to learn about Falun Gong and stand up to support practitioners' efforts to end the persecution. He reminded the Danes: “The CCP persecutes peaceful Falun Gong practitioners with unimaginable brutality. It even actively participates in forced live organ harvesting. Today we have invited eyewitnesses, lawyers, and medical experts to share their investigation results. We hope more and more people learn about what the government in China is really doing.” He encouraged people to listen to their conscience and make the right choice.
Other speakers included Professor Li, a representative of Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting in Germany; Carlos Iglesia, an attorney from Spain; Falun Gong practitioners Ping Shi, Zhiping Wu, and Luoxin Zhu, who were all brutally persecuted in China; the chairman of Supporting Human Rights in China, human rights organization representatives, etc. They called for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong and called upon the international society to work together to stop the CCP crime of live organ harvesting.
Professor Li of Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting said that were compelling reasons to believe that the CCP's large scale crime of live organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners is a systemic crime.
Carlos Iglesia, an attorney, explained how a new law against unethical organ harvesting was implemented in Spain and emphasized that lawyers all over the world should shoulder the responsibility of seeing that justice is done with regard to the crime of organ harvesting.
Ping Shi, a practitioner, said, “The CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong is a crime against humanity. Even one day is too long. It must stop immediately.” Mr. Zhiping Wu, another practitioner, said, “For holding onto our belief, six people in my family were sentenced to prison or sent to forced labor camps. Two were tortured to death. Now that the CCP’s crime of forced organ harvesting is known, I call upon the international community to stand up and stop the persecution, bring the perpetrators to justice, and let justice and conscience reign.”
Letter of support to Falun Gong practitioners from Sren Espersen, MP and vice chairman of the Danish People's Party
Sren Espersen, a Danish MP and vice chairman of the Danish People's Party, and MP Tom Behnke sent letters of support. MP Sren Espersen said in the letter:
“Both inside and outside of China, Falun Gong practitioners are brave and dignified and deserving of our support. We should let them know that we, the people of the free world, agree with and support their demand for a China without the CCP dictatorship.”
