(Minghui.org) At the end of May 2012, my sister and I were arrested by local police for informing people about the persecution of Falun Gong.
One police officer handcuffed me. There were around four police officers. I knew one of them. Everyone knew that he was very evil, since he had been identified [for persecuting practitioners] several times on the Internet. His picture was posted publicly.
Two of the young officers took us to the police station and left. One told us his last name, Liu, and said he was a driver. I didn't believe him. Later, he got a phone call and said: “Hi, boss, I am Li xx.” He worried that his behavior would be exposed so he had used a fake name.
Eventually, we learned that he was a deputy head of the national security bureau. He called another officer, who also persecuted Falun Gong practitioners. This officer's name was on the list of police who brutally persecuted practitioners. When he came into the room, he said that another practitioner had been tortured to death, but that police was “not responsible” because she held a hunger strike and died as a result. He seemed to be concealing something: He was trying to get across that he was just a normal policemen, and not a murderer.
Some more officers came in. We clarified the truth to all of them. However, they seemed to turn a deaf ear to what we were saying. Later, Li said: “We didn't want to arrest you, but we had to act under the orders of our superiors.” He then searched my bag, which had leaflets exposing Bo Xilai's, Wang Lijun's and Zhou Yongkang's [senior communist regime officials] crimes against humanity.
One of police officers took one and read it. Li found notes with the facts about Falun Gong printed on them. He just gave them back to me. He also found one thousand yuan and put it back in my bag. Then he found a piece of paper listing many people who wanted to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. He returned that to me, too.
At this moment, the head of the national security bureau came in, searched my bag again, found the one thousand yuan and put it aside. I knew he wanted to keep it.
He also found the “quit the CCP” list and asked me what it was. I didn't answer him. He scrunched the paper into a ball and threw it on a desk. I felt so guilty that I hadn't hid that list. I couldn't remember all of the names on it and didn't know what to do.
When he left, I tried to get the paper, but my hands were cuffed and I moved very slowly. I was pushed back by the police officers. That evil head also found my house key and said I must be hiding Falun Gong materials at home. He wanted to conduct a search.
Li said: “It's all right. We don't need to search your home.” However, he still decided to go. Since I was from another district, he couldn't find my home. He returned and asked me where I lived.
One of the officers told him where my residence was, since he was the one responsible for arresting me and had searched my home and also my workplace before. He had found one of my house keys and kept it.
Despite the fact that my home is very easily recognizable, Li wrongly thought another building was mine and eventually failed to find my home.
We were then sent to a detention center. On our way there, Li slipped my wallet into my pocket and hinted at me to take care of it.
Some police officers at the detention center already knew me, since I had been arrested several times. Some questioned the point of arresting Falun Gong practitioners. Some told us that they had never tortured practitioners.
This detention center is notorious for having police torture Falun Gong practitioners. Practitioners' clothes are taken off, and practitioners are put into icy places to freeze. Everyone is forced to sit on the cold floor. It's extremely cold.
This time, the police said: “Falun Gong practitioners are all good people. Only they can have quilts.” They also gave us more quilts to stay warm in the cold. One day, a young director checked our cell and said loudly: “Only Falun Gong practitioners are allowed to have quilts; others should return their quilts to the storage room.”
Information pertaining to our detention was posted on the Internet, resulting in many overseas practitioners calling the detention center to demand our release.
One day, I heard a police officer curse other practitioners. When I got the chance, I asked who he was mad at. He said he was mad at a practitioner who was from abroad. I had helped this officer's family quit the CCP before. I told him that if he continued to curse practitioners, he would end up on the list of evil police.
At 3 p.m. in the afternoon, a police officer answered a call from abroad. He asked me to take it. I determined that it was a practitioner with a southern dialect and realized he was calling from Canada. In Canada, the time was 3 a.m. In order to rescue us, he didn't sleep and encouraged me.
He asked me if we were tortured, and I explained our situation. I was considerate of the Canadian practitioner as I knew that it was very early for him and making an international call is quite expensive. Both my sister and I were crying after I hung up the phone. We really appreciated that practitioner's encouragement.
I was very upset that my “quit the CCP” list had been taken away. I remained in my cell, recited the Fa and sent forth righteous thoughts. I also looked inward. I wished that I could get the list back. Guilt and regret filled my mind.
All of a sudden, a police officer required us to go outside. The officer told all of the male prisoners to gather together and asked me to clarify the truth to them.
From then on, we used our break time to clarify the truth to others. Most people were able to accept what we had to say. We were even able to clarify the truth to other police officers.
One of them said: “Who dares to torture you guys? Phone calls from all over the world reach us every day. Even when we haven't started work yet, the phone has already started ringing. We are now all very cautious about doing bad things, as bad things are met with retribution. Now nobody minds if you guys exercise or recite Dafa's teachings.”
A lot of police officers were kind to us there.
On the fifteenth day, three policemen sent us to a forced labor camp. However, we were not accepted because we didn't pass the physical exam. During this process, we clarified the truth to the police and sent forth righteous thoughts. They all became kind to us.
When we got back to the detention center, they told us that they constantly received tons of phone calls and truth-clarification information. They felt annoyed. They asked me to look at the information. They didn't understand why they had received it.
I said: “I can tell you and if you don't believe it, then just treat it like a story. When lots of Gods heard Master spread Falun Dafa on Earth, they wanted to help. Some of them are practitioners. Some of them are police officers. At the beginning, nobody wanted to be a police officer since this role could lead to depravity.
“But some beings have assumed such roles as they believe it is Heaven's will. They need practitioners to remind them of the truth, so that they won't lose their true selves--they all want to return to their origin. Practitioners haven't forgotten any of you and are persistently clarifying the truth to you. That's why you always receive the information.”
The policemen remained silent and no one complained to me anymore. I could tell they were thinking about it.
On the third day after my release, I went to the police station to pick up my house key. The police were quite polite to me. I saw four policemen, including Li. He said: “Can you help him (another officer) because his name is on the list of evil police. He is 'wanted' so he can be tried in an overseas court. I told him that he could not go abroad; otherwise, he'd be arrested.” Li said: “Jiang Zemin has been wanted overseas but nothing has happened to him.” I told him that it was because he was the chairman of the CCP at the time, having the “immunity as head of state.”
I asked the officers: “Do you have any desire to travel overseas now? Aren't you annoyed?” Another police officer asked if I could help them. I said: “From now on, never participate in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners; rather, you ought to protect them. You need to write down all evidence in relation to those who have ordered you to persecute Falun Gong practitioners, so that they will face justice in the future. Doing so might save you.”
They were all very worried.
They asked me to talk about Falun Gong. I clarified the facts to them in detail, from the self-immolation hoax staged by the regime to defame Falun Gong to quitting the CCP. I told them that they had been deceived into persecuting Falun Gong before and should not do it anymore.
At this time, another police officer came back and returned my key. He also returned my list of those who wanted to withdraw from the CCP. I was very happy and told him that he did a very good thing.
He said: “It's nothing. I'm still on the list of evil police and still called an evil policeman.” I told him that the list of evildoers is continuously updated. I said: “If you do good things and help Falun Gong practitioners, your name may drop off the list. Please don't be negative. If anyone persecutes practitioners today, their names will appear on the list tomorrow. Bad behavior truly leads to retribution.”
My family worried about me and called me to go home, but the police still wanted me to talk more. The officers whose names were on the list of evil police saw me off to the elevator and reminded me not to keep materials at home. I knew they worried about my safety.
I said: “As long as I am a practitioner, I'll have materials to save people. Please do not persecute Falun Gong anymore.”
One officer was still concerned that he would be sued by a foreign country if he went abroad. I reminded him to keep all proof of the persecution and do good things—as long as he regrets persecuting practitioners from his heart, Gods will help him. He appreciated my assistance. I felt pity for him.
