(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners Ren Jialian and Gu Mingying, from Xishui County in Guizhou Province, were sentenced illegally by a local court. Ren Jialian was sentenced to five years, and Gu Mingying was sentenced to three years. They have already hired lawyers to appeal the sentences.
Ms. Ren Jialian is in her fifties, and was arrested at home on January 18, 2013. Ms. Gu Mingying is also in her fifties. She was arrested at home on February 1, 2013. They were both arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division of Xishui County. They are still being held in Xishui Detention Center.
Persecution of Other Falun Gong practitioners in Xishui County Guizhou Province
Ms. Yuan Xueli
Ms. Yuan Xueli previously worked at the Trade and Industry Official Store. She was sentenced to a three-year prison term in July 2004, and held in Yangai Prison. She was transferred to Guizhou Women's Prison in May 2008, and for two years in a forced labor camp. After the labor camp, she was sent directly to Lannigou Brainwashing Center in Guizhou for six months. She became homeless after she was released in November 2010. On April 12, 2012, she was arrested in Guiyang, and sentenced to a ten-year term in September 2012. She was transferred to Yangai Prison or Lannigou Prison on March 13, 2013, and is still being held there.
Falun Gong practitioner Leng Guangwei and his wife Zhao Xingmei were arrested on September 26, 2010. Their home was raided and they were detained for 15 days. Yuan Chaohua, head of the 610 Office, came to their home and told their relatives, “If you want them released, come talk to me and bring the money.” They were released after their family was extorted out of 12,000 yuan.
Falun Gong practitioner Luo Peixu was arrested on September 28, 2010, by police from Xishui County. Yuan Chaohua, the 610 Office director, went to Luo's workplace, noticed the computer and printer, and stated that there was Dafa-related information in his computer. The computer was confiscated. The officials later broke into his home, and took Dafa materials and a cell phone. Luo Peixu was detained for 15 days and later transferred to Xishui County Detention Center for another month, he was arrested again one month later and sentenced to three years on March 28, 2011.
