(Minghui.org) Today's news from mainland China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 6 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 39 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Suixi County, Guangdong Province] Ms. Song Chunmei Detained and Mr. Yang Zai’s Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Song Chunmei and Mr. Yang Zai were arrested on June 10, 2013 while distributing materials about Falun Gong. Ms. Song is being held in the Suixi County No. 1 Detention Center. Mr. Yang’s whereabouts are unknown.

2. [Chongqing] Ms. Chen Qixiu Detained

Ms. Chen Qixiu was arrested on the afternoon of July 21, 2013 while distributing materials about Falun Gong in Baige. She is currently held in the Baige Detention Center.

3. [Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province] Two Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Adan and Ms. Jianhong, around 45, were arrested by officers from the Ningbo City 610 Office on July 5, 2013.

4. [Shangyu City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Xu Huini Sentenced

Ms. Xu Huini was sentenced to three and a half years in prison by the Yuyao City Court, for giving people Shen Yun DVDs. She has been held in the Women’s Prison since June 24, 2013.

5. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Yu Detained

Ms. Li Yu was recently arrested by police officers while posting information about Falun Gong along a street. She is being held in the Yiyuan County Gouquan Detention Center.

6. [Beijing] Ms. Shuai Guilan Arrested

Ms. Shuai Guilan was arrested by officers including Li Aimin from the Yanqing County 610 Office on July 18, 2013.

7. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Chen Xueying Detained

Ms. Chen Xueying was arrested on the morning of July 23, 2013 while distributing materials about Falun Gong. She is being held in the Renhuo Town Police Station.

8. [Dazhou City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Deng Daihua, 56, was arrested at home by officers from the Dazhou City Domestic Security Division on the afternoon of July 12, 2013. Ms. Hu Dingzhi and Ms. Chen Qinghua were also arrested at the same time. The police ransacked Ms. Hu’s home and confiscated two printers, a computer, Falun Gong books, and informational materials about Falun Gong. The practitioners are being held in the Dazhou City Detention Center.

9. [Pingliang City, Gansu Province] Mr. Shi Furu Detained

Mr. Shi Furu, 60, was arrested by officers from the local police station on July 22, 2013. He was held for 15 days.

10. [Huairen County, Shanxi Province] Ms. Xiaoji Detained

Ms. Xiaoji was recently arrested by officers from the Yun Dong Police Station. She is being held in the Huairen Detention Center.

11. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhou Jinrong and Ms. Li Xiurong Detained

Ms. Zhou Jinrong and Ms. Li Xiurong were recently arrested by plainclothes police officers from the Jiangdian Police Station while speaking to people about Falun Gong. They are being held in the police station.

12. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Yufeng’s Home Ransacked

Officers from the Beita Police Station ransacked Ms. Zhang Yufeng’s home and confiscated her Falun Gong books, tape recorder, and 60,000 yuan in cash.

13. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] A Dozen Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Lu Yanqing and another 11 practitioners were arrested at Mr. Lu’s home by several officers on the evening of July 23, 2013 when they were studying the teachings of Falun Gong together. The other 11 practitioners arrested include: Ms. Laolu, Ms. Li, Ms. Xia, Ms. Ren, Ms. Xiaoyin, Ms. Xiaosong, Ms. Su Huizhen, Ms. Laogu, Ms. Shi Ning, and Ms. Xiaohu and her daughter who was on summer vacation from school.

On the following morning, the elderly Ms. Ren, and Ms. Laogu were released due to health reasons. Ms. Su Huizhen was taken to the Shengcai Brainwashing Center; Hu Liqun was sent to the Jishu Brainwashing Center; Mr. Lu Yanqing’s whereabouts are unknown. The others are still being held in the Domestic Security Division.

14. [Luotian City, Hubei Province] Mr. Zhou Jincai’s Whereabouts Unknown

Mr. Zhou Jincai was arrested at home by officers including Xia Nan from the Luotian City Police Department on July 24, 2013. His whereabouts are unknown.

15. [Lushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Qingling Detained

Ms. Wang Qingling, 61, was arrested on the evening of July 22, 2013. She is being held in the Dalian City No. 2 Detention Center.

16. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xu Li Detained

Ms. Xu Li was arrested on July 22, 2013. She is being held in the No. 2 Detention Center. The police ransacked her home and confiscated her computer, laser printer, inkjet printer, recorder, two bank cards, and Falun Gong books.

17. [Beijing] Ms. Wang Fengwu Detained

Ms. Wang Fengwu was arrested by officers from the Shijingshan Police Station on July 24, 2013 while speaking to people about Falun Gong.

18. [Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Lu Yan Detained

Ms. Lu Yan, daughter of Mr. Lu Tong, was arrested by officers from the Suzhou 610 Office and the Caixiang Police Station. She is being held in the Caixiang Police Station.

Mr. He Linguo was recently arrested by officers from the Zixing City 610 Office. He is being held in the Chenzhou City Beihu District Brainwashing Center.

Ms. Zhang Guifang, in her 60s, was arrested by plainclothes police officers on July 19, 2013. She is being held in a brainwashing center. Ms. Liu Chunlan was also arrested the same day.
