(Minghui.org) German practitioners held an informational event in Hamburg's city center on July 13, 2013, to raise awareness about the persecution of Falun Gong in China. They gave out introductory materials and told people about the Chinese regime's horrific practice of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners.

The local practitioners have been holding similar events virtually every Saturday from late spring to early winter.

Passersby learn about Falun Gong and the persecution.

Most people were shocked to learn of the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) 14-year persecution of Falun Gong, finding it hard to comprehend. "Why is Falun Gong being persecuted?" a lot of them asked.

One practitioner explained: “The CCP wants Chinese people to follow its warped thinking, which is based on violence and struggle. Falun Gong guides people to be good by following the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

“The Chinese regime knew that it could not control practitioners' minds, which made it very nervous. It thus launched the persecution because it was afraid of losing control of more than 70 million kindhearted people who practiced Falun Gong.

“Millions of people have improved their moral character through practicing Falun Gong and have become illness-free. So, tell me, who would willingly give up such a good practice?”

The CCP Is Not China

Mr. Wang, a Falun Gong practitioner, spoke to a German couple. They shared that their daughter-in-law is from China.

The wife said: "Every time we criticize China for something, my daughter-in-law refuses to listen; she clams up and won't say a word to us. My son is very puzzled by her behavior.”

“I can understand why she is acting like this," replied Mr. Wang. "Although I have been living in Germany for more than 10 years, I know how Chinese people think. You see, for many decades the Chinese have been told how powerful China is and how 'great' the Communist Party is. In other words, the whole Chinese society has been brainwashed into thinking that China is the CCP and the CCP is China, including your daughter-in-law.”

"This brainwashing starts from early childhood, right?” asked the husband.

"Yes,” replied Mr. Wang. “The Party has systematically destroyed Chinese traditional culture and imposed its own values on Chinese people. If you criticize the regime, a lot of Chinese people will think that you don't like China or the Chinese people.”

The couple expressed their gratitude for Mr. Wang's insights and wished the practitioners good luck.

More and More People Support Falun Gong

An elderly woman asked a practitioner what she could do to help Falun Gong.“You can sign this petition calling for an end to the persecution,” the practitioner replied.

As the woman was putting her signature on the petition form, she shook her head and exclaimed, “I just can't understand why the Chinese regime is persecuting innocent people!” She thanked the practitioners and said, “I wish you well!”

A young woman read the display boards, watched practitioners' re-enactment of live organ harvesting, and then said, “I see how committed you are to resisting the persecution. You have done a good job!” She gratefully took informational materials from a practitioner before departing.

As two young women read the display boards about the persecution, they looked visibly shocked. They asked a lot of questions about Falun Gong. Before leaving, they wished practitioners success in stopping the persecution.

“Torture Is Not Allowed”

“Torture is not allowed,” said an elderly woman to one of the practitioners. “In the 1950s, the evil CCP starved its own people to death. Something like this should never have been allowed to happen!”

She was referring to the Great Famine of China (1958–1962). At that time, Party chairman Mao increased the food procurement quota from the countryside to pay for international imports. As a result, about 45 million were intentionally starved to death.

A mother and her daughter asked a lot of questions about the Chinese regime's practice of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners. One of the practitioners gave her a copy of an independent investigation report exposing the crime.

The mother was shocked by the regime's cruelty. When she learned that Falun Gong is based on the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, she exclaimed: “Oh, now I understand! The only reason something this tragic can happen is because the Party has no conscience; thus, it can do anything.”

Another young woman carefully read through all of the informational materials relating to organ harvesting. After an in-depth conversation with a practitioner, she signed the petition calling for an end to the persecution.

“Thank you for sacrificing your time and energy to let more people know about what is happening in China,” she said before leaving. “What the regime is doing boggles the mind; it is truly shocking!”
