(Minghui.org) I have always had a lot of respect for the cultivation of fellow practitioners in Shen Yun Performing Arts. I admire how diligent those practitioners, who are by Master's side, are in their cultivation, and I like to read their interviews posted on the Shen Yun website. I realize it seems as though I am trying to find their “secret” from these interviews and what makes them so diligent. Without exception, they talk about “assistance from divine beings,” from which I get to understand the special inner meaning of cultivation.
When I make Falun Gong informational materials at home, I usually play the Shen Yun DVD at the same time. As I listen, my anxious mind becomes very peaceful. I once carried several packs of printing paper from the downstairs storage room and was panting heavily when I was done. The Shen Yun DVD happened to be showing the last scene of “Mulan Joins the Battle,” in which Mulan was held up in the air by soldiers after finishing many beautiful dance movements. I could see that the practitioner who played Mulan was “panting.” I knew Master was giving me a hint, and I was deeply moved by fellow practitioners' great efforts.
During the interviews, almost all Shen Yun practitioners talked about when it seemed to be impossible, they could actually reach that perfect performance. For example, when there was almost no ability to somersault in the air, the performance on stage still turned out to be perfect. So they summarized it as “like divine intervention.” From that I deeply felt the inner meaning of cultivation for Dafa disciples during the Fe-rectification period.
Some mainland practitioners who have been overseas told us that practitioners in Shen Yun definitely work with all their might. My understanding is that, as long as those practitioners purely listen to Master's words and try their best to fulfill their promises in life, they will receive enormous mighty mercy, blessings, and power from Master. An individual's life is very tiny in Master's Fa, but, since it is during the Fa-rectification period, he/she is bestowed with such great honor and mighty virtue, as well as the good fortune and mission of being Master's disciple.
I think Master is equally merciful to all beings in the universe, whether one is by Master's side or not. Haven't some practitioners left Shen Yun? Cultivation practice is not something to take for granted. If someone by Master's side doesn't cherish and doesn't cultivate solidly, he will lose the priceless opportunity. Practitioners' full efforts in Shen Yun manifest in their firm belief in the Fa. When there is no strength to move forward, the firm thought is acknowledged by the Fa, and Master bestows the power. When one lets go of notions and self, and gives oneself completely to Master and the Fa, the mighty power of the Fa will manifest.
It is good that I enlightened to this, because I encountered unprecedented resistance in my Fa study, which was difficult to break through. I often think that my cultivation during the past years has been like walking a tightrope. If I overcome the difficulty to do the three things, I will succeed in walking the tightrope that day, and will continue to walk it the next day. Sometimes, I fell down halfway, remorseful and distressed, but then continued on.
Sometimes, when I felt I could not get any new meaning from the Fa, I'd suddenly feel that the surface meaning of certain parts of the Fa was shown to me. In fact, Master gave me a hint many times, before I continued to study the Fa without being idle, but I did not persevere and used all kinds of excuses. It seems to me now that I cannot move forward anymore if I don't make a breakthrough.
Some practitioners are interested in asking each other details, such as how and when do you study the Fa and how much do you study every day. Actually, Master has given everyone the most precious thing, and it is up to us whether we want to truly accept it. The issue of firmly believing in the Fa cannot be solved by simply copying some surface methods; otherwise why would someone still leave such a diligent cultivation environment like Shen Yun?
Sometimes I think that it is really a manifestation of the weakness of a being, for example the difficulty of looking inward and cultivating solidly in the Fa, versus the easiness of searching outward for solutions. We have done so many things, such as wasting time and energy and failing to live up to the high hopes of countless beings, since those lives being sifted out due to our immaturity and not being diligent in cultivation are beyond retrieval. What should we do then, in this precious limited time remaining?
The solemness of cultivation is beyond anyone's thinking. Master told us:
“As for whether you can make it in cultivation or not, as long as the period for cultivation is ongoing there are opportunities for you to make it, but on the other hand, unknowns abound as well.” (Editorial: “Are You a Cultivator?” (With a Comment from Master))
