(Minghui.org) Because we were distributing truth-clarifying materials, some fellow practitioners and I were taken to a police station one day in 2010. I did not cooperate with the police, and refused to reveal them my name, address, or workplace. I sent forth righteous thoughts and recited the Fa to find my attachments. Master had just published a new poem entitled “Stirred by Reflection” around that time, and I memorized it by reciting it over and over.
"Stirred by Reflection
After ten years of trials and tribulations,
Lotuses fill the courtyard.
A rainbow of colors,
Illuminates the heavens.
One’s purity is seen,
After the adamantine will is fully tempered.
True thoughts dissolve all,
The whole sky is clear.
Disciples of Fa walk the earth,
Compassion they bring.
With kind thoughts they save people,
Evil specters they vanquish.
Righteous thoughts each step of the way,
Divine beings are present in this world.
When they return with full bounty,
The multitude of gods shall receive them."
I finally calmed down after reciting the Fa and enhancing my righteous thoughts.
In the meantime, I found my attachments. Many people had accepted the materials and agreed to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations, which made me very happy, but I had started to show off to validate myself. The old forces took advantage of this loophole. It is our responsibility to save sentient beings, since this is what Master asked us to do. Although I have attachments I will eliminate them by studying the Fa. My attachments should not be the excuse that the old forces use to give me trouble.
Telling Police the Facts
When a police interrogated me, I did not see myself as someone who was being interrogated. Instead, I took this opportunity to tell them about Falun Gong. I told them peacefully, “I will not tell you anything. Please stop asking. That is good for you.”
He replied, “So you will say nothing?” I said, “Of course. You should know what kind of people we are. Our Master asks us to be good people according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and, to be considerate of other people. It is Jiang Zemin's gangster group that persecutes Falun Gong practitioners. They told a lot of lies to deceive people. It would take more than a few days and nights to tell the stories of how each practitioner benefits from practicing Dafa. As Master's disciple, how could we be silent and not tell people the facts? The Party's political movements have been carried out one after another, and have led to the unnatural deaths of eighty million people. Now they are persecuting cultivators. Heaven will punish it!”
I also said, “It's been hard for us to meet each other. Maybe it is Heaven's arrangements that makes us meet here. I sincerely hope that you stay away from the Party and choose a bright future for yourself.” I also shared with him how Dafa has been widely spread around the world, as well as the physical and mental improvements I experienced after I began practicing Falun Dafa. I also told him the facts about the self-immolation, and about the brutal persecution Jiang Zemin's group has committed against practitioners.
It was not like I was being interrogated. Instead, I played the leading role. He was the listener. He said, “You know so much! You are a good speaker and a great thinker. You must be very well-educated.” I said, “I did not have a good education. The Cultural Revolution began when I was in the eighth grade. Prior to cultivation, I was suffering from various illnesses. I felt dizzy every day. Rheumatism gave me a lot of trouble as well. After I began cultivating, I underwent significant changes. I got my health back and became mentally alert. I am not like a typical old lady.”
The officer found in my purse many Shen Yun DVDs, copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, and some booklets. They were trying to use these as evidence to detain me. I did not accept this. I said, “Let me tell you that those things are very precious. You have the right to know the truth. Shen Yun has been touring around the world and has two to three hundred shows every year. It has been praised by mainstream society and artists. However, the Party is trying to prevent us from watching it. What can we do? We take the initiative to share this beautiful show with others by handing out DVDs. I hope that you will enjoy the performance.”
He stood up suddenly and said, “I can watch it upstairs. I will take a look.” Then he asked a young man to watch me. About an hour later, he came back and said, “It is very nice. It has singing and dancing. What did those guys arrest you for?” I said, “You can keep one for yourself so that you can share it with your family.” Another young man said a few words to him secretly. He replied, “OK. I will also leave one for you.”
After the young man left, the officer told me secretly, “You are a good person and I really enjoy talking with you. In fact, I was a soldier in the Army. Our commander was practicing Falun Gong. He often told us how good Falun Gong was. He was also a very good person. I left the Army and got another position. I did not know Jiang Zemin was such a wicked person, carrying out this brutal persecution of you.”
I suggested that he quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations, and told him the best way to do that. He had never been involved in any type of actions to bring practitioners trouble.
Telling Criminals the Facts About Falun Gong
At midnight that evening, the police sent us to a detention center. It was a horrible place that was damp and things were moldy. There were too many people being held there. I talked with another practitioner, since we had no place to sleep. We planned to send forth righteous thoughts every night.
It was also a very dirty place. Some criminals were using all kinds of dirty words. and most people had feelings against Dafa due to the CCP propaganda. However, no matter what the situation, we should let go of our attachments and save sentient beings with compassion. If they kept being like that, they would be in danger.
We asked Master for help. In the daytime, we did the exercises, recited the Fa, and talked with people about Falun Gong. At night, we sent righteous thoughts. We started a hunger strike as soon as we got there. We refused to be do slave labor or wear the uniform. With Master's help I did not feel uncomfortable, although I had been on a hunger strike for days.
We started doing small things and tried to be compassionate to the criminals. Some criminals had just arrived and did not have a change of clothes, so I let them wear my clothes. One young lady cried and wanted to go home. We talked with her and she felt our kindness. She began listening to us. We recited Master's Hong Yin, Lunyu, and sang songs. When we recited Lunyu, it was extremely quiet in the room. I felt that Dafa was purifying the others, and invoking their conscience.
Since the group of people detained in the detention center changed frequently, we made good use of our time to tell them about Falun Gong. Except for two to three people, most all of them learned the facts. About thirty people learned the truth and agreed to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
There were two ladies, one of whom was very much against Dafa. Whenever we were talking to the other lady, she would stop us by shouting. Master arranged for her to leave two days before the other lady was released. We helped her learn the facts, and how to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
The environment in the detention center was improving. When the criminals heard that we would be transferred out to a labor camp some of them cried. Some complained that the CCP was such a wicked party. One of them said that she would also practice Falun Gong after she was released.
Appreciation to Master and Fellow Practitioners
On the way to the labor camp, I constantly sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate all wicked beings. I refused to acknowledge the arrangements of the old forces. I only listened to Master because I was a Dafa practitioner on the path to becoming a divine being. When we arrived at the labor camp, I was not afraid. My heart was very calm. I looked up in the sky and said to Master, “Master, I do not accept the fact that I will be detained here. There are many fellow practitioners detained here as well. I will take this opportunity to eliminate all wicked beings in the center.”
At that time, a scene emerged in my mind. In that scene, Master was turning the Falun. All of a sudden, at noon in the summer, the sky turned dark. It was very hot. Then the thunder and pouring rain came with lightning. The change made the police very scared. “What happened? So scary!” I knew that Master was eliminating wicked beings using his mighty power. I kept sending righteous thoughts. After the wind and rain, the sky was very clear. Master had cleaned up my path.
When I was undergoing the physical examination, I was told that I had high blood pressure and was in a severe situation. With Master's help, another practitioner and I were released and returned home.
After I arrived home, I heard that fellow practitioners were cooperating well and working hard to rescue us. All practitioners in the city as well as nearby counties were sending righteous thoughts around the clock. Some senior practitioners, who were in their seventies and eighties, did not sleep for three consecutive nights. Many groups kept crossing their legs for two hours at a time while sending righteous thoughts. Their sweat had wet their clothes. Only Dafa practitioners could do that. In the meantime, my family went with practitioners to rescue me. I would like to take this opportunity to thank fellow practitioners. You have been working hard!
From the above experience, I learned that as long as we study the Fa well and believe in Master and Dafa, we will be able to get through any tribulations. As long as we do things according to Dafa, Master will protect and take care of us. Master is the one who makes the decisions. I can feel Master's compassion in every step of my cultivation process.
