(Minghui.org) The Henan Province No. 3 Forced Labor Camp is located in the suburb of Xuchang City and is one of several forced labor camps in Henan Province where a large number of Falun Gong practitioners are held.
Practitioners and inmates held in this camp make wigs for the Xuchang Wig Company.
Many practitioners were tortured to death in the Henan forced labor camps. However the number of practitioners at that camp are only a small portion of practitioners persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) throughout China.
Officers from the domestic security team and police department took practitioners directly to Henan Province No. 3 Forced Labor Camp after arresting them without a court hearing.
Henan Province No. 3 Forced Labor Camp has four squadrons, with the majority of practitioners being held in squadron No. 3. A few practitioners were taken to one of the other squadrons for intensive training.
In squadron 3, practitioners were forced to do hard labor for 16 hours a day, from the time they woke up until 11:00 p.m. They were only allowed 10 minutes for each meal. In addition, they had to attend brainwashing classes and watch videos vilifying Falun Gong.
Any practitioner who refused to cooperate was tortured. They were hung from some contraption and deprived of sleep. At times, they had to complete a questionnaire and those that refused had their terms extended. They were put under much pressure to “transform” and renounce Falun Gong.
The guards and inmates, which generally were drug addicts, ill-treated the practitioners. The inmates beat practitioners frequently and did anything to earn credits to gain greater term-reductions.
Inmates used painful tortured methods, such as sticking fibers into the practitioners genitals through the urinary tracks and moving them back and forth. They also inserted chopsticks into the practitioner’s rectum.
During one torture called “piglet kicking dirt” the practitioner was forced to bend forward by 90 degrees with the head against the wall, and the hands on the back.
In another torture method a practitioner had to remain motionless while raising his hands, with face, body and hands against the wall. If he moved, they pushed a broom handle into his rectum.
There were so many torture methods, including performing a military marching in the blazing sun or squatting for a long time.
Posters were hung in the court yard of Xuchang Forced Labor camp, threatening “We will destroy you if you do not surrender” or “Death is waiting for you if you do not transform.”
The guards were even more vicious than the inmates. They deprived practitioners of sleep for days at a time. Sometimes, they kept intense light on practitioners or put helmets on them that contained a broadcasting system. The system blasted into the ears of practitioners material that slandered Falun Gong, damaging their ears.
To prevent external injuries, guards used wire-studded rubber batons to inflict pain and internal damage. Additionally, practitioners were put in clothes that were pulled tight until they could barely breathe. They also put tape over the practitioner's mouth and nose to affect his ability to breathe. Also, practitioners were hung up with limbs stretched.
Electric shock torture and tying up was frequently used. First they would strip the practitioner of his clothes and tie his hands tightly behind the back. Then they pull the ropes to cut into the person’s flesh. The sudden pain was so intense that the practitioner jumped involuntarily. The guards then pushed him down on his knees to the ground, jumped on his legs and pulled the rope again. They released the rope for a few minutes and then repeated the torture. This was done for less than 25 minutes to avoid permanent damage.
During the above torture, other guards shocked the practitioner's sensitive parts, including lips, ears, necks, fingers and genitals, with electric batons.
After undergoing the torture described above, a practitioner was unable to move his hands for three months and his hands shrank, looking like a chicken’s claws.
Another practitioner had the flesh around his waist burned black by the shocks, forming a black circling band.
One practitioner’s arm remained bent at 90 degrees and he could no longer straighten it. The guards thought he was pretending and ordered inmates to pull it forcefully, instilling unbearable pain.
After the tying torture, the skin that was tied by the rope was all whitish and hairless, while the rest of the skin was all bruised and purple.
Practitioners Mr. Li Jian, an attorney from Zhengyang County, Henan Province, and Mr. Yao Sanzhong, a young music teacher from the Luhe Normal College, died as a result of relentless abuse. They were both tortured with the above torture methods.
The prison and forced labor camp buildings detaining practitioners are beautiful on the outside, but the crimes committed inside are horrendous and reflect the evil nature of the Chinese Communist Party.
