(Minghui.org) Mr. Piao Guangxun, a Chinese-Korean Falun Gong practitioner, lives in Yanji City, Jilin Province. He was reported and illegally arrested on the afternoon of July 17, 2013, while handing out Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs in Renping Village, Yanji.
Mr. Piao worked at a nursing home in the suburbs of Chaoyangchuan Town, Yanji. He went to a village with Mr. Shen Xueshan and Mr. Li Hongyuan on January 11, 2007, to speak with people about the facts of Falun Gong. He was arrested and taken to the Longmen Police Station. The police used many different forms of torture to try to extract a confession from him. He was hung up with handcuffs for 10 hours, beaten, forced to sit on the iron chair, and had cold water poured on him. The officers stomped on his stomach and wiped his face with dirty mops. Mr. Piao's bones were broken in several places and he was unable to move.
Mr. Piao's brother called for an investigation into who was responsible. Three officers were later fired and Mr. Piao was given some financial compensation. After getting treatment in a hospital, Mr. Piao's brother took him to a rural village to recover.
Mr. Piao left the rural village several months ago and came back to Yanji, even though he was not fully recovered. He has been detained again.
