(Minghui.org) Mr. Yang Lingfu, a Falun Gong practitioner in the Qiaokou District of Wuhan City was illegally arrested, along with his wife, on September 24, 2013, and his home was ransacked.
The police confiscated Mr. Yang's laptop computers, printers, DVDs, paper, and cell phone. Mr. Yang Lingfu's wife was released that evening. The detention center refused to accept Mr. Yang because he had high blood pressure. The police then sent him to the An Kang Hospital which belongs to the security system.
Several Falun Gong practitioners from Wuhan have been arrested and taken to detention and brainwashing centers. Some have been detained for more than a year, and currently face sentencing.
Practitioners Arrested Recently
Ms. Zhang Sumei is in her 70s. She was arrested on July 31, 2013. Ms. Wei Youxiu was arrested on August 5, 2013. They are still being held in Etou Brainwashing Center in Wuhan.
Ms. Wang Rongfang was arrested on August 23, 2013, for distributing truth clarification materials. She was taken to the No. 1 Women's Detention Center in Wuhan. The detention center demanded that her family pay 20,000 yuan, otherwise she would be sentenced. She was transferred to the court in late September.
Ms. Li Jili, a practitioner in the Jiangan District, was arrested and sent to a brainwashing center in the Kanjiaji District.
Ms. Zhang Xiaohua was arrested on September 18, 2013. She was detained in Erzhigou Detention Venter.
Ms. Li Juhua was arrested on September 27 and taken to the No. 1 Women's Detention Center in Wuhan.
Practitioners Detained for an Extended Time
1. Ms. Cuihai, 64, was arrested on October 17, 2012. She has been held in a brainwashing center, detention center, and Ankang Hospital for more than one year, and has been brutally tortured. The police are now preparing to have her sentenced.

When Ms. Cuihai was held in the brainwashing center, she was force-fed, injected with unknown substances, had freezing water poured over her in the winter, and was deprived of sleep.
2. Mr. Shen Xuewu, a university teacher, was arrested on November 13, 2012. He was brutally tortured in the Hubei Province Brainwashing Center. The police prepared to sentence him to three to five years. The police officer directly responsible for persecuting Mr. Shen Xuewu is named Cai. His direct line is +86-13971015811.

Mr. Shen Xuewu previously worked at Xiaogan College, Wuhan Military Economy College, Central China Normal University. He was beaten, hung up by handcuffs, force-fed, and deprived of sleep for believing in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
3. Mr. Zhao Hu, in his 40s, was a teacher at the Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He was arrested on October 26, 2012.
Mr. Zhao Hu started practicing Falun gong in 1996. He has been arrested and detained several times without due process of law. He lost his job because he refused to give up his belief in Falun Gong.
4. Mr. Hu Dongsheng, Ms. Wumei, Sun Zhuying, and Liu Jinzhi were arrested on June 1, 2013. They are still being detained.
Their families have hired lawyers, but the police were very rude to them and refused to allow the practitioners to speak with their lawyers or their family members.
Falun Gong practitioners are good people who behave in accordance with Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. According to the lawyers, “A Chinese citizen has the right to practice Falun Gong and talk about the facts regarding Falun Gong.”
