Additional Persecution News from China – October 30, 2014 (28 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 23 cities or counties in 11 provinces. According to this report, 9 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 37 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Zhang Dinggang, Mr. Niu Xibao, Mr. Li Hongsheng, and Mr. Wang Detong were arrested by officers from the Licun Police Station in the Licang District on October 25, 2014.

Mr. Wang and Mr. Zhang were released. Mr. Li is being held at the Licun Police Station and Mr. Niiu at the Jimo Detention Center.

2. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yu Huimei Detained and Forced to Undergo a Physical Examination

Ms. Yu Huimei was arrested at home by officers from the Yinma Town Police Station in Changyi City on the morning of October 28, 2014. She was held at that police station for 15 days. The police extorted 1,000 yuan from her and charged her 200 yuan for a physical exam.

3. [Xingtai City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wen Qiuling Arrested

Ms. Wen Qiuling was arrested and taken to the Ningjin County Police Department by officers from the Jichangzhuang Police Station on October 28, 2014.

4. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Sun Fengqin Detained

Ms. Sun Fengqin was arrested on October 28, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is being held in the Chuanying District.

5. [Changde City, Hunan Province] Seven Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Hong Ping, Ms. Sun Hua, Ms. Gui Lansing, Ms. Xu Zhenmei, Ms. Jiang Sanjie, Ms. Zhou Minjun, and Ms. Xiao Guixian were arrested by officers from the Suojie Police Station in Shimen County on October 13, 2014.

Ms. Jiang, Ms. Hong, Ms. Gui, Ms. Zhou, and Ms. Xiao were released.

Ms. Xu was taken to the Changde City Brainwashing Center.

6. [Chongqing] Mr. Cheng Defu Detained

Mr. Cheng Defu, 67, was arrested by officers from the Guiyang Police Station in Dianjiang County on October 15, 2014, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police ransacked his home and confiscated all his Falun Gong books. He is being held at the Dianjiang County Detention Center.

7. [Yingtan City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Liu Change Detained

Ms. Liu Change, after being held 15 days under administrative detention, should have been released on October 24, 2014, but officers from a detention center and police department sentenced her to another 15 days of criminal detention.

8. [Yingtan City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Liu Baozhen Detained

Ms. Liu Baozhen was arrested by officers from the Liuken Police Station on October 24, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police ransacked her home. She is being held at the Yujiang County Detention Center.

9. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Chen Hong Taken to Police Station by Her Husband and Arrested

Ms. Chen Hong was taken to the Jianshelu Police Station by her husband on October 24, 2014. The police arrested her and then ransacked her home.

10. [Lacey City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Hongyue Arrested

Ms. Li Hongyue was arrested and taken to the Qingdaolu Police Station by plainclothes officers on October 26, 2014, for handing out a brochure about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was released that afternoon.

11. [Junan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Jianying Arrested

Ms. Wang Jianying was arrested at work by officers from the Junan County Political and Legal Affairs Committee, 610 Office, and Domestic Security Division of the Junan County Police Department on October 28, 2014. Her three-year-old granddaughter, who was with her, was also taken into custody.

12. [Tianjin] Ms. Yang Fujing Detained

Ms. Yang Fujing was arrested on October 26, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is being held at the Tianjin City Detention Center.

13. [Jinyun County, Zhejiang Province] Mr. Jin Zigen's Whereabouts Unknown

Mr. Jin Zigen was recently arrested, but his whereabouts is unknown.

14. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhang Shuping Detained

Ms. Zhang Shuping, 56, was arrested on October 27, 2014, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is being held at the Wuhan City Women's Detention Center.

15. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Peilan Detained

Ms. Li Peilan was transferred from the Zhonggong Detention House to the Zhonggong Detention Center on October 24, 2014.

16. [Beijing] Ms. Ye Cuiping Detained

Ms. Ye Cuiping was arrested on October 11, 2014, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police confiscated her computer and extorted 7,700 yuan from her. She is being held in the Haidian Detention Center.

Ms. Yu Jili, 66, was arrested by officers from the Xiyuzhuang Police Station in the Hongqiao District on October 27, 2014, for distributing calendars containing information about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is being held in the Hongqiao District Detention Center.

18. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Mr. Cheng Yongyue in Critical Physical Condition

Mr. Cheng Yongyue was arrested on September 18, 2014. He is being held at the Taiyuan City No. 1 Detention Center. He has been on a hunger strike for over a month and is in critical condition.

19. [Linyi County, Shandong Province] Mr. Yan Xiangbao Detained

Mr. Yan Xiangbao was arrested on his way home on October 19, 2014. He is being held at the Beihuan Detention Center in Linyi County.

20. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Several Practitioners Taken to Brainwashing Center

Officers from the Xinzhou District 610 Office in Wuhan City arrested and took several practitioners to a brainwashing center, including Ms. Liao Heping, Ms. Zang Honghong, Ms. Xu Jinzhi, and Ms. Li Suguo, on October 11, 2014.

Mr. Sun Xibo was sentenced to a three-year prison term on October 14, 2014.

22. [Beijing] Mr. Zhang Jiguo Detained and Ms. Liu Fengxia Taken to Brainwashing Center

Mr. Zhang Jiguo and Ms. Liu Fengxia were arrested by officers from the Chengguan Police Department in the Fangshan District on the morning of October 15, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

Mr. Zhang is being held at the Fangshan District Detention Center.

Ms. Liu was released on bail awaiting trial, but later taken to a brainwashing center.

Mr. Yu was recently arrested for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

24. [Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Five Practitioners Detained

Ms. Wang Pinghua, Mr. Hong Jun, and Mr. Chen Peiyuan are being held at the Yueyang County Detention Center.

Ms. Wang Mingying was transferred to the Yueyang City Detention Center.

Mr. Zhang Jian is being held at the Yunxi District Detention Center in Yueyang City.

25. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Juan Taken to Brainwashing Center and Ms. Ji Guilan Arrested

Ms. Wang Juan and Ms. Ji Guilan were arrested by officers from the Nancheng Police Station on October 28, 2014, for distributing calendars containing information about the persecution of Falun Gong.

Ms. Ji was released and Ms. Wang was taken to the Xiaochengxiaying Brainwashing Center in Shulan City.

26. [Linquan County, Anhui Province] Ms. Li Dengying Detained

Ms. Li Dengying was arrested on October 27, 2014, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is being held at the Fuyang Detention Center.

27. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Xiufang Arrested

Ms. Wang Xiufang was arrested at home by officers from the Domestic Security Division of the Jinzhou District Police Department and the Xianjin Police Station on October 15, 2014.

28. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Mo Xiaomei's Life in Danger

Ms. Mo Xiaomei was arrested by Lai Basheng, section chief of the Domestic Security Division, and officers from the Luogang District 610 Office and Police Station and the Zengcheng 610 Office on the morning of October 13, 2014. She was taken to the Zengcheng City Detention Center and tortured. As a result, she developed high blood pressure.
