(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Liu Pintong from Dandong, Liaoning Province is being tortured at Liaoning Province Women’s Prison. She has become very weak.

Ms. Liu was illegally arrested on March 3, 2012 while she was clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa. She was interrogated and sentenced to eight years of imprisonment by the Zhenxing District Court, Dandong in August 2012.

Ms. Liu was sent to Liaoning Province Women’s Prison on December 11, 2012. In order to force her to give up her belief, the guards tortured her by making her stand for a long time and to sit on a small bench. They deprived her of sleep. She was not allowed to wash herself or use the restroom, even though she was bleeding from her menstrual period.

The second day in prison, Ms. Liu was locked up with the “correction team,” whose sole purpose is to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. Two inmates forced her to stand for a long time on the cold concrete floor, which caused her legs to swell. She was still on her menstrual period, and not allowed to use the restroom or wash herself.

They did not allow anyone to talk to Ms. Liu and closely monitored her. They tortured her like that until around 9:00 p.m. on December 14. Under this extreme and non-stop persecution, against her will, Ms. Liu copied the pre-written guarantee statement.

When the provincial bureau staff came to verify the “transformation results,” Ms. Liu told them, “It was against my will. They did not allow me to use the toilet. They forced me to stand for a long time, and they barely allowed me to sleep at night.”

Team leader Li Han became very angry and took Ms. Liu back to the “correction team” and assigned different inmates to continue torturing her. The inmates forced Ms. Liu to sit on a small plastic bench for an entire day. There were needle-like bumps on the bench. The inmates forced Ms. Liu to sit with her torso upright, legs together, and her hands on her legs, from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. or later. They also forced her to watch videos which slander Falun Gong.

At the end of January, the guards saw that Ms. Liu still refused to be “transformed,” so they switched to different inmates to torture her.

Starting from January 17, 2013, team leader Li Han came to the cell every day to “transform” Ms. Liu. Li Han said, “If you refuse to be ‘transformed,’ I'll keep coming here.” Li also threatened Ms. Liu and said that her son would be arrested.

Under the brutal physical and mental torture, Ms. Liu was “transformed” on February 20 against her will. Guard Zhang Lei forced Ms. Liu to write a “thought report” every day, to continue the mental torment.

Ms. Liu was transferred to the first prison ward on April 12. She was not allowed to talk to other Falun Gong practitioners or make phone calls to her family. When her family went to visit her, two team leaders were assigned to stand next to them and monitor them for the duration of the visit.
