(Minghui.org) Practitioners who have maintained a regular weekend presence in London's Chinatown to raise awareness of the persecution of Falun Gong are witnessing positive changes.
Many visitors have learned the facts, thanks to practitioners' tireless efforts worldwide over the past 15 years, and they take the initiative to help spread the truth and offer help. In addition to taking pictures of the site, some mainland Chinese even read the messages such as “Falun Dafa Is Good” on banners to their relatives and friends in China via WeChat, a popular app in Asia.
Many who have not heard about Falun Gong before are eager to learn about it and sign the petition calling for an end to the persecution after they understand about the brutality of the persecution.
The following took place in London's Chinatown.
Chinese Overseas Students: "The Communist Party Is a Malignant Tumor"
A young Chinese man read aloud "Falun Dafa" to his black companion when they were standing in front of display boards depicting Falun Dafa's worldwide popularity.
Xiao Yun, a practitioner, walked up to them and asked the young man if he knew that Falun Gong is being practiced by people in over 100 countries around the world and that the "Tiananmen Self-immolation Incident" was staged to frame Falun Gong. The man replied that he had learned all that on the Internet.
The young man said that he could easily tell the incident was a hoax, because there are many discrepancies, particularly that the plastic Sprite filled with gasoline remained intact after the fire.
Xiao Yun added that the Communist Party is used to falsifying information. If anyone is targeted for persecution, it will trump up lies to defame the person and bring false charges against him or her.
The young man agreed and said, "You're right! The Communist Party is a malignant tumor!"
He told Xiao Yun that his grandmother is a Falun Gong practitioner and that she has radiated health since she began practicing. Even her severe diabetes disappeared. His entire family supports her.
"We'll Read the Nine Commentaries Carefully"
Two young Chinese men talked with Xiao Yun for more than 30 minutes and asked a lot of questions on the basic facts about Falun Gong and the persecution, including its widely reported health benefits and the Chinese regime's brutal persecution, especially the forced organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners.
After they got answers to their questions, one of the men, who was concerned about the fate of China without the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), asked Xiao Yun who would rule China if the CCP collapsed.
Xiao Yun answered, "Didn't China exist for more than 5000 years before the CCP seized the power? History proves that when one dynasty goes, another dynasty will take its place. We should not be worried about who will be in power after the downfall of the CCP." The young man nodded in agreement.
They each took a copy of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and said they would read it carefully after returning home.
"I'll Do My Best to Help"
An Indian lady in a black suit walked up to practitioners who held banners and told them that she was a trial attorney and had learned a lot about the persecution of Falun Gong by attending human rights conferences held in different countries. She also met with David Kilgour and David Matas and had read the book Blood Harvest: The Killing of Falun Gong for Their Organs that they co-authored.
She said, "You've done very well. I support you. I hope that more people can learn about these things." She gave her business card to a practitioner and said, "Let me know if I can help in any way. I'll do my best to help!"
Signing the Petition to Show Support
A lady pushing an elderly woman in a wheelchair passed by the information booth and took a flyer. She asked a practitioner some specific questions and was shocked to hear the answers. She said, "I support you. I'll sign the petition." After she signed, she explained to the elderly woman in the wheelchair who also signed. The lady asked a few companions who came along, "Come on, please sign!"
Another time a young lady came over with another young lady. She told a practitioner, "I signed last week, and I told my friend about this. She wants to sign, too."
