“However hard the situation may be, you still must do the three things well. Saving sentient beings—that is a Dafa disciple’s responsibility!” (“Fa Teaching at the 2013 Greater New York Fa Conference”)
Master also mentioned in the same lecture, “There really isn’t much time left. It could end at any time, and the next phase could begin at any time.”
Master's Fa has been deeply imprinted in my mind. I know how urgent it is to save people and that time is running out.
Listening to Master and Saving People with Predestined Relationships
I went to the San Francisco Portsmouth Square truth-clarification site on December 20, 2013. I know that this was an arrangement given to me by Master. Since I came from an environment of persecution in Mainland China, I cherish this hard-to-come-by freedom to openly cultivate and to tell people about Dafa.
I deeply understand Dafa disciples' mission in validating the Fa and saving sentient beings and I do the three things every day. Under Master's protection and care, I feel myself undergoing tremendous changes every day.
I go to the truth-clarification site at 9:30 a.m. every day to set up the display boards and distribute the truth-clarification materials. With the truth-clarification booklets in hand, I greet everyone that passes by.
When the overseas Chinese who have resided here for long time come by and take the Epoch Times newspaper, I greet them and tell them to remember, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.”
When elderly people walk by, I point to the nine words written on the truth-clarification materials and say, “Please remember Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good! Remembering these words will keep you safe.”
When they stop and talk with me, I ask if they have ever joined the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) Youth League or Young Pioneers. I remind them that kind people receive blessings and protection from divine beings to help them understand the truth and persuade them to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
Three generations of a family came to Chinatown for the weekend. I told them, “Your children are so adorable and your parents are in good health. You have good fortune! I hope that you can understand more about what is currently happening in China while in this land of freedom of speech.”
As I spoke, I opened the truth-clarification materials and flipped to the section on the CCP's forced organ harvesting. I said, “The CCP is harvesting Falun Gong practitioners' organs, and profiting from them. Those who have a sense of justice have said, “It is an evil that has never happened before on this planet!” I hope that you understand the truth and choose a better future. Do not remain silent about these crimes.” The whole family accepted the truth and gladly withdrew from the CCP and its affiliates. They thanked me when they left.
When I meet Western tourists, I point to the words “Falun Dafa” on the truth-clarification materials and say, “Falun Dafa is good!” and give them a thumb-ups. They gladly receive the materials.
Regardless of whether I can communicate in their language, I want to spread the good message of “Falun Dafa is good” to them. Most often, the tourists flip open the informational materials with curiosity. When they see the contents that expose the CCP's persecution, it suddenly dawns upon them and they say to me, “Oh! Very good!”
As I tell people “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,” I feel that the dimensional field in my surroundings opens up and is filled up with the peacefulness and wonderfulness of Dafa.
There are also those that do not listen to the truth clarification but still I want them to take the wonderfulness of “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” back with them. I hope that the truth can eradicate the lies in their mind and let them walk out from confusion.
Master Is Doing Everything
I understand that in actuality, Master is doing everything for us. However, Master left all the virtue to us, the disciples. When I have a pure heart, many people with predestined relationships will stop by and understand the truth.
One student from China walked near the display boards. He said, “Since I'm studying here I know that Falun Gong is being persecuted. I also know that the CCP has done many bad things. There are a few times when I came here with my classmates and wanted to learn more about this, but they obstructed me. Today, I deliberately walked away from them so that I can learn more. I'm going back to China tomorrow but I still have some doubts. Can I ask you some questions before I leave?”
He said that he did not understand why we stand here every day and persuade people to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations. He also felt horrified to see the bloody photos of the persecution displayed. During our conversation, I realized that he was affected by “atheism,” as he said that he only believes in science and not gods.
I started from the “cause and effect relationship” of Chinese traditional culture and told him that there are many things in this world that cannot be explained by science. I said, “An old woman who has never gone to school can read Zhuan Falun after cultivating Dafa. Isn't that amazing? We did not know each other when we were in China but met here in the US and even talked. Isn't this the 'predestined relationship' that our ancestors talked about?”
I told him that Dafa practitioners persuade people to withdraw from the CCP hoping that people will not be implicated by the CCP's bad deeds. As for the photos that display the brutal persecution, I told him that they are real and this is really happening in China. Showing them is to expose the cruel nature of the CCP and also to awaken people's conscience and kind thoughts.
The student understood everything after two hours. He said that he would spread the truth about Dafa to his classmates. Before he left, he even said that he would read Zhuan Falun from the Minghui website. I am extremely grateful to Master for compassionately saving people.
Losing My Way and Returning Again
I was fortunate to begin practicing Dafa in October 1998. However, I stopped cultivating after July 20, 1999 when my relatives were persecuted, as I was afraid that I would be persecuted as well. After I stopped following the principles I became concerned with reputation, fame and emotion.
Finally, I returned to cultivation in 2006. However, I had lost the environment of studying the Fa and practicing the exercises with practitioners from those early days. My attachment of fear was very strong and I felt that I could not focus when studying the Fa. Hence, I did not see the deeper meaning of Dafa when I read the books.
I went overseas in early 2012. I went to the tourist site every day with fellow practitioners to practice the exercises and clarify the truth. Other than attending the large group Fa study at night, we would also go to the dormitory entrances of the Chinese workers to distribute materials, clarify the truth and persuade them to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliates. I also went to some hospitals to obtain signatures from doctors and nurses on the petition calling for a stop to the CCP's forced organ harvesting.
Since I did not cultivate myself for a long period of time, there are many attachments that I have yet to let go, and I still have a very big gap when compared to Master's requirements. Master is offering compassionate salvation and has given me a lot. I must calm down and study the Fa, look within, upgrade my xinxing and put in more effort to save people. I have to cherish the clarifying of the truth at Portsmouth Square, cultivate myself and save people in this hard-to-come-by opportunity of the ages and return with Master.
