(Minghui.org) Ms. Tong Lin ( 童琳), a 40-year-old financial analyst, was illegally sentenced to three years in prison for her belief in Falun Gong.
Ms. Tong was followed and arrested by police when she visited a friend on February 19, 2014, and she was taken to the Bao'an Detention Center. She was sentenced to three years of imprisonment by the Bao'an District Court on December 4, 2014.
Ms. Tong could not hire an attorney, but she pled not guilty and insisted on appealing the illegal arrest.

Ms. Tong started to practice Falun Gong in 2002, but she was repeatedly arrested and sentenced by the Bao'an District 610 Office and authorities in Shenzhen City. She was also arrested for distributing information about Falun Gong in 2008. She was sentenced to two years of imprisonment on November 26, 2008, with a five-year suspension.
She was again arrested at her home in 2009 and sentenced to two years of imprisonment on November 22, 2010.
