(Minghui.org) A rally calling for support for the lawsuits against former Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin received warm response from locals and tourists at the central square in downtown Melbourne on October 3, 2015. People who signed the petition at the event mentioned that it was important for the Australian government to speak up against the ongoing forced organ harvesting in China.
The Falun Dafa Association of Melbourne organized the event to protest the persecution of Falun Gong in China, calling for an end to organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners.
Many local residents and tourists passing by the event signed the petition. According to the Minghui website, more than 550,000 people in Asian pacific region have signed criminal reporting forms against Jiang Zemin, the former Chinese dictator who ordered the persecution of Falun Gong and the state-sanctioned organ harvesting and trafficking network.

Bill had come from the Gold Coast to watch the Australian football final match. He said he had been to China many times, and learned the differences between China and Australia.
He said, “Though I can't do much, I know my signature counts. It will help stop the organ harvesting!”
Sydney and her boyfriend both came from England, and signed the form after they heard speeches at the rally and read the display boards. They were shocked to learn of the brutal persecution and inhuman organ harvesting crimes in China.
“We can't understand why Jiang Zemin wanted to persecute Falun Gong. It is ridiculous!” Sydney said.
Ms. Shoko, an architect from Tokyo Japan, was shocked to hear about the tortures that Falun Gong practitioners suffer in China. She said the world should help Falun Gong to stop the persecution.
Ms. Wang, a Chinese resident in Melbourne, said she learned about the organ harvesting crime through the media. She believes it is truly happening in China, and agreed that the signatures and rallies are important ways to reduce the persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
“I am sympathetic to Falun Gong practitioners in China,” said Ms. Wang. “They didn't harm the public at all, so why do they (the CCP) persecute them? They should have the freedom to have their belief!”
Ms. Zhang, a new resident of Melbourne from Jilin Province, China, agreed that Jiang Zemin's persecution of Falun Gong is ridiculous. She took some photos at the rally to show her family in China. She said that she heard about the organ harvesting crimes when she was in China, but the rally today gave her more facts and details.
She said, “Jiang Zemin persecuted Falun Gong more brutally than real criminals. It is unbelievable and ridiculous!”
Many Chinese people quit the party and its affiliates at the rally without much persuasion. The reason was quite simply, just like Ms. Li commented, “I knew. The Chinese Communist Party is totally corrupted!”
