(Minghui.org) Mr. Liu Yang, 35, was illegally arrested for practicing Falun Gong by officers from the Wennan Town Police Station, Xintai City, Shandong Province, on August 25, 2015. He is detained in the Beishi Detention Center.
Zhang Xinde, Ma Yan, and several officers from the 610 Office broke into Mr. Liu's home on May 3, 2915. They ransacked it and confiscated a desktop, two printers, a DVD player, and other items. Mr. Liu was not at the home at the time.
Village Party Secretary Reported on Mr. Liu
When the 610 Office asked Kong Xiangjun, Party secretary of Yijiawozi Village, in March 2004, if there were any practitioners in his village, Kong said, “Mr. Liu Yang practices Falun Gong.”
They arrested Mr. Liu, ransacked his home, and confiscated Falun Gong books, a recorder, DVDs, and other materials.
During the interrogation, Mr. Liu was tortured, and fainted several times. He was held in the Wangcun Detention Center in Zibo City for two years.
Family Members Also Practice Falun Gong
Mr. Liu’s mother began to practice Falun Gong when she was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. She recovered her health.
When the police tried to arrest her, she stood up to the police and said, “Am I wrong because I want to be a good person and follow the Falun Gong principles Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance? I might have died a long time ago if I did not practice Falun Gong.”
His father Mr. Liu Shanliang was arrested and released a month later. In the Wangcun Detention Center he signed statements that he would give up Falun Gong. He passed away in the winter of 2009.
