(Minghui.org) More than 300 passersby in the Toronto financial district signed a petition supporting the recent flood of lawsuits against China's former dictator, Jiang Zemin, during a 1.5 hour period on the afternoon of September 21, 2015.
At the intersection of Yonge Street and Queen Street, the financial district of Toronto, local Falun Gong practitioners held an event during the afternoon rush hour, to inform the public that over 180 thousand lawsuits have been filed since May against Jiang, for launching and directing the persecution in China.
Practitioners hold banners to pass the message of the lawsuits against Jiang.
People sign the petition supporting the lawsuits.
The event was warmly welcomed by the local residents.
Anna, a financial analyst, suggested that the Canadian government should help to bring Jiang Zemin to justice. “Only the Communist Party can implement such a brutal persecution. This is because of its violent nature, and that is why the Party is condemned by the whole world,” Anna said.
Mohit Suri, a bank manager, praised the practitioners and encouraged them to tell more people about the persecution and the lawsuits. He said, “Persecution exists in most communist countries. The Communist Party has brought many disasters to the world. It should not exist.”
Trevor Kearns, a student at Waterloo University, pointed at Jiang's name on the banner, and said, “We must bring him to justice. The persecution violates human rights. He will go to hell, and will be punished in hell.”
Some Chinese businessmen and tourists were also glad to hear news of the lawsuits.
Mr. Wei and his friend, both from Beijing, signed the petition courageously. Mr. Wei said, “We all hate Jiang Zemin very much. He has committed all kinds of bad things and did nothing good. He should have been arrested a long time ago. We are very glad to hear about the lawsuits. Bravo! You (Falun Gong practitioners) are doing the greatest good deed.”
Both announced they would quit the Communist Party.
A young man from Hong Kong said to practitioners, “I've seen many Falun Gong events in Hong Kong and America. The society in Hong Kong has been ruined by the Communist Party. We are losing democracy there. I support all kinds of human right activities.” He was glad to help Falun Gong, and wished practitioners a big success.
