Additional Persecution News from China – October 16, 2015 (Part 1, 26 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 20 cities or counties in 14 provinces. According to this report, 5 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 42 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Lianyuan City, Hunan Province] Mr. Liu Honghui and Mr. Liu Qingwen Arrested

Mr. Liu Honghui and Mr. Liu Qingwen were arrested on October 9, 2015, by officers from the Doulishan Town Police Station, while they were distributing Falun Gong informational materials in Doulishan Town. Both practitioners are being held in the Lianyuan City Police Department.

2. [Yuanyang County, Henan Province] Mr. Hao Tianxu and Wife Ms. Zhao Jianli Detained

Officers from the Yuanwu Police Station broke into Mr. Hao Tianxu's home and arrested him and his wife, Ms. Zhao Jianli, on October 12, 2015. The couple was taken to the Yuanyang County Detention Center for 15 days of detention.

3. [Tongling City, Anhui Province] Ms. Zhang Jinzhi and Ms. Xu Yinghua Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Zhang Jinzhi, 67, and Ms. Xu Yinghua, 69, were each sentenced to five years in prison. Both practitioners were taken to the Hefei Women's Prison in late September 2015.

4. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sheng Fengling and Ms. Lu Cuixiang Arrested

Ms. Sheng Fengling from Fushan District was arrested on October 13, 2015 by officers from the Chengguan Police Station, for suing Jiang Zemin. She is being held in the Yantai No. 1 Detention Center.

Ms. Lu Cuixiang from Dongbeiguan Village, Fushan District was arrested at work on October 14, 2015. Her whereabouts are unknown.

5. [Datong City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Guo Chunmei Detained

The secretary of Xinping Village, Xinping Town, Tianzhen County led officers from the Xinping Town Police Station to break into Ms. Guo Chunmei's home and arrest her at noon on October 14, 2015. She was taken to the Datong City Detention Center for five days of administrative detention.

6. [Nong'an County, Jilin Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhou Guiying from Fulongquan Town was arrested on September 22, 2015. She was held in the Nong'an County Detention Center for 15 days.

Ms. Fan Yucui from Halahai Town was arrested by local police officers, for suing Jiang Zemin. She is being held in the Nong'an Detention Center.

Ms. Xie Fengxia from Chaigang Township, was arrested at home by officers from the Halahai Police Station on September 29, 2015. She was taken to the Nong'an County Detention Center for 15 days of detention.

Ms. Yang Taiying from Wanshun Township, was arrested at home by local police officers on October 10, 2015. She is being held in the Nong'an County Detention Center.

Ms. Li Lihui from Kaian Township was arrested at home by local police officers on October 13, 2015. She is being held in the Nong'an County Detention Center.

7. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Mr. Di Zhengjiang Arrested

Mr. Di Zhengjiang from Dongxiao Village, Zhongzhuang Town, Yiyuan County, was arrested on October 14, 2015, by officers from the Yiyuan County Domestic Security Division, for suing Jiang Zemin.

8. [Weining City, Hubei Province] Two Practitioners Arrested

Officers from the Jiayu County Police Department broke into Ms. Xiong Qunlan'a home through a window and arrested her October 9, 2015. She was taken to a brainwashing center. Her elder sister Ms. Xiong Meilan and younger sister Ms. Xiong Qiulan went to the police station to demand her release on October 14. Ms. Xiong Qiulan was taken into custody.

9. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Chen Wenying Detained

Officers from the Luoshui Town Police Station in Shifang City showed up at Ms. Chen Wenying's home and lured her to the police station on October 9, 2015. She was then placed in custody for five days. She returned home on October 14.

10. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhong Qifen and Husband Mr. Lu Pinggang Detained

Officers from the Jiandi Town Police Station in Shifang City showed up at Ms. Zhong Qifen's home on October 13, 2015, and questioned her about her lawsuit against Jiang Zemin. Both Ms. Zhong and her husband Mr. Lu Pinggang were arrested. The couple is being held in the Shifang Detention Center for 15 days of detention.

11. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Five Practitioners Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Wang Shuqing and four other practitioners were arrested for suing Jiang Zemin by eduction organizations in Zhucheng City on October 14, 2015. The five practitioners are being held in the Zhujie Brainwashing Center.

12. [Rizhao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Guo Ning Arrested

Ms. Guo Ning from Chenjia Village was arrested for telling people about Falun Gong on October 14, 2015.

13. [Dazhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wu Liyu Detained

Ms. Wu Liyu from Dachuan District was arrested by officers from the Dachuan District Police Station, and personnel from the Xinnan Community in Cuiping Street Committee on the afternoon of August 30, 2015. They confiscated Falun Dafa books, a photo of the founder of Falun Gong, and an MP4 player. She was held in the Xiwai Town Detention Center for five days.

14. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Chunyan Arrested

Ms. Li Chunyan was arrested by an instructor of the Dongguan Police Station in the Kuiwen District, and Zhao Shubin, the residential police officer in charge of her neighborhood, on the morning of October 15, 2015.

15. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wu Baolin Arrested

Mr. Wu Baolin from Qianwei Town, Suizhong County was arrested by officers from the Qianwei Police Station on October 15, 2015. Ten police officers ransacked his home and confiscated two laptop computers, one printer, and hundreds of copies of Falun Dafa books. They did not present a search warrant. Mr. Wu is being held at the Suizhong Detention Center.

Mr. Wu's 91 year old father was terrified and hospitalized after he was arrested. He is now on the verge of death.

16. [Nong'an County, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Guixian and Ms. Yu Xiaoqin Detained

Officers from the Helong Town Police Station in Nong'an County arrested Ms. Liu Guixian and Ms. Yu Xiaoqin on the afternoon of October 11, 2015. Both practitioners are being held in the Nong'an County Detention Center.

17. [Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. You Shurong Arrested

Ms. You Shurong from Hulin City was arrested by officers from the Jixi City Domestic Security Division, the Hulin City Domestic Security Division, and the police station on the morning of October 14, 2015. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated a printer, a notebook computer, and a DVD burner, along with other belongings. She is being held in the Hulin City Police Department.

18. [Beijing] Mr. Zhang Guisen and Ms. Chen Ying Arrested

Mr. Zhang Guisen and Ms. Chen Ying from Lu Village, Doudian Town, Fangshan District were arrested on October 14, 2015 for suing Jiang Zemin. Both practitioners were taken to a detention center.

19. [Baiyin City, Gansu Province] Ms. Zhou Shuping Arrested

Ms. Zhou Shuping from Huining County was arrested at home for suing Jiang Zemin by officers from the Huining County Domestic Security Division on October 15, 2015. The officers confiscated a computer, a printer, and Falun Dafa books. She is being held in the Huining County Domestic Security Division.

20. [Suzhou City, Anhui Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Officers from the Suzhou City Political and Legal Affairs Committee, the Domestic Security Division, and the Police Department went to Dangshan County and arrested Ms. Li Huamin, Mr. Li Zhicheng, Ms. Chang Min, and Ms. Feng Caixia on October 14, 2015. Ms. Li Huamin and Mr. Li Zhicheng are being held in the Dangshan County Detention Center. Ms. Chang and Ms. Feng are being held in the Suzhou City Detention Center.

21. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Mr. Lu Yajie Detained

Mr. Lu Yajie was arrested on October 13, 2015 for suing Jiang Zemin, by officers from the Tuanjie Police Station. He was taken to a detention center.

22. [Heyuan City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Lin Yuxing and Mr. Chen Nianrui Arrested

Mr. Lin Yuxing and Mr. Chen Nianrui were arrested in a downtown area on October 14, 2015. Both practitioners' whereabouts are unknown.

23. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Zhang Youzhen Detained

Ms. Zhang Youzhen from Ningzhong Village, Xiaochengzi Town, Ningcheng County was arrested and taken to the Ningcheng County Detention Center by officers from the Ningcheng County Domestic Security Division in October 2015.

24. [Beijing] Ms. Zhao Huaichun Arrested

Officers from the Yongdinglu Police Station arrested Ms. Zhao Huaichun at home on October 13, 2015. They confiscated a computer, a printer, a television, and Falun Dafa books. Ms. Zhao was taken to the Haidian Detention Center at noon on October 14, and released that night after 11:00 p.m.

25. [Nong'an County, Jilin Province] Ms. Cheng Liying Arrested

Ms. Cheng Liying was recently arrested.

26. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zou Baisong Detained

Mr. Zou Baisong, from Fushan District, was arrested for suing Jiang Zemin by residential police officers and officers from the Hebin Road Police Station on October 14, 2015. He is being held in the Dongting Detention Center.
