Respecting Master is a Prerequisite for Assimilating to Dafa

(Minghui.org) All cultures share the universal moral standard that requires students to respect their teachers. As true cultivators of Falun Dafa, the most serious cultivation practice based on the principles of the new cosmos, we should study the Fa with a most earnest and respectful mind. This is a prerequisite of obtaining the Fa, assimilating to the Fa, and becoming enlightened to different levels of the Fa. Anyone with a disrespectful attitude won't gain anything from the teachings.

Some fellow practitioners, including veteran ones, drink and eat while reading Zhuan Falun. Some ponder everyday people's things while listening to Master's lecture recordings. Some who listen to the Fa while riding the bus pay more attention to members of the opposite sex. Some practitioners even listen to the Fa or read Dafa books in bed. What are they truly doing? What will be the result of their Fa study? How can they gain enlightenment to the wisdom of the Fa while being disrespectful?

Even though Master has a big and compassionate heart, the old forces will record what we do, and will be ready to inflict tribulations on us at any time. Everything we do will be judged eventually. Our positions will be determined by our actions and behavior.

Take the example of a student in school. When the student falls asleep, eats, plays, or thinks of the opposite sex while the teacher is lecturing, is this student a good student? Would this student meet every requirement in order to graduate? It's hard to say.

Some practitioners treat fellow practitioners' sharing articles as stories and fail to compare themselves to the cultivation issues addressed in the articles. Some elderly practitioners even consider that reading sharing articles every day is equivalent to Fa study. Is this true cultivation?

The criteria for Fa-rectification period cultivation is strict and serious because it concerns the new cosmos and the eternity of all beings. It's the first and last event of this nature in the history of the cosmos. As cultivators with the honor of being Dafa disciples during the Fa-rectification period, all of our thoughts and behaviors concern large groups of beings. How can we not treat Fa study seriously?
