(Minghui.org) Since October, policemen from Daiyue District Domestic Security Division have been harassing local Falun Dafa practitioners who filed lawsuits against Jiang Zemin, a former leader of the Chinese Communist Party who ordered the violent suppression of Falun Dafa.
However, the officers' attitudes changed after practitioners talked to them about the Falun Dafa and the persecution.
On October 14, six policemen came to Maocinan Village, where Ms. Li Xiaohuan lives. The village officer led them to Ms. Li's home, which the policemen broke into without a search warrant.
Ms. Li was not home at the time. The policemen threatened her husband and child, saying they planned to arrest Ms. Li because of her lawsuit against Jiang Zemin. The police ransacked their house and seized some of her family's personal belongings.
Two weeks later, Ms. Li went to Liangzhuang Police Station to reclaim the items the officers had seized. She asked the police to return her Falun Dafa books and several radios. She reasoned with them, “Although the books mean nothing to you, in my eyes, they are treasures from heaven.”
Ms. Li then talked to the officers about Falun Dafa for two hours. The officers' attitudes gradually softened, and one even poured her a glass of water. The officers said they had already sent the books to their superiors.
On October 14, an officer from Fangcun Township Police Station and three from Daiyue Domestic Security Division came to Baita Village, where practitioner Dong Changzhan lives. They broke into Mr. Dong's home to question him about his lawsuit against Jiang.
The officers brought the original version and copies of the lawsuit. When Mr. Dong asked them to show their identifications, the officers refused. One of them reached out to open a drawer, but stopped when Mr. Dong stared at him. Another officer wanted to take a portrait of Master Li Hongzhi (the founder of Falun Dafa). “Don't touch it!” Mr. Dong yelled. The officer stopped, and made a respectful Buddhist gesture by pressing both palms together to pay respect to Master Li.
Mr. Dong told the officer that his respectful gesture will bring him blessings. The other three officers smiled.
Mr. Dong urged the officers to stop following Jiang Zemin's orders in persecuting Falun Dafa, and spent an hour explaining the reasoning. The officers asked Mr. Dong to sign a document, but he refused. “The lawsuit against Jiang is done according to the law, so I don't need to sign anything,” said Mr. Dong.
A few days later, officers from Fangcun Township Police Station went to Beiyangguan Village, looking for a 70-year-old practitioner, Ms. Wang Ruizhen. The officers asked the village committee leader to summon Ms. Wang to come the police station regarding her lawsuit against Jiang. The village committee leader said, “Ms. Wang is a great person in my village. You can't arrest her!”
