Additional Persecution News from China – November 23, 2015 (21 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 20 cities or counties in 11 provinces. According to this report, 10 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 22 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Several Practitioners Arrested, Families Harassed

Ms. Chu Yanzhi, of Zhaozhuang Village, under the jurisdiction of the Jiuqu Neighborhood Administration Office in Hedong District, was arrested by officers from the Jiuqu Police Station on November 13, 2015. She was taken to the Linyi City Detention Center.

Ms. Yang Zhimei, of Youzhuangzi Village, under the jurisdiction of the Jiuqu Neighborhood Administration Office, filed her lawsuit against Jiang Zemin. Her son, an employee of the city post office, and her daughter, an employee at the Lanshan District Television Station, were both harassed over the phone by officers from the Taoyuan Police Station in the Hedong District.

Mr. Yang Zhiqian, his wife Ms. Li Xiuyun; and Ms. Mou Guiqing, her husband Mr. Chen Xiru were ordered into the Taoyuan Police Station for suing Jiang Zemin. The police documented the interrogation. They were released after their fingerprints were collected.

Mr. Zheng Jianjia, a retired worker from the Rural Cooperative Bank in the Hedong District, filed a lawsuit against Jiang Zemin. His son was harassed by officers from the Jiuqu Police Station.

2. [Yinan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Chunmiao Arrested

Fan Hongbo, political head of the Puwang Town Police Station, and three other officers went to Dougou Village in Puwang Town between November 20-21, 2015. They harassed Ms. Qin Hongqin, Mr. Zhu Yuefeng, Ms. Qin Xixiang, and Mr. Zhao Zitai for suing Jiang Zemin. Video recordings were collected. Mr. Zhao's home was ransacked on November 21, 2015.

Ms. Zhang Chunmiao was arrested and taken to the Yinan County Police Station on November 21, 2015.

3. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Suying Detained

Ms. Wang Suying of Weicheng District was arrested by four officers from the Beiguan Police Station on November 18, 2015. She is detained in the Weifang Detention Center.

4. [Xinbin County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Hongyu Detained

Ms. Li Hongyu, of Toudaopu Village in Yongling Town, went to the Xinbin County Police Department to demand the release of Mr. Su Hongxiang on November 12, 2015. Ms. Li was arrested. She is detained in the Fushun Detention Center.

5. [Maoming City, Guangdong Province] Several Practitioners Harassed

Officers from the Maoming City 610 Office and the Police Department ransacked the homes of Mr. Wu Zhiqi, Mr. Ke Zhengji, and Mr. Mai Zhizhong on November 19, 2015.

The officers ransacked Mr. Wu's home and confiscated a computer and several printers. Mr. Luo Ji, Ms. Chen Yuping, Ms. Luo Xiaozhu, and Mr. Wu's son were arrested.

About 10 officers from the police department broke into Mr. Ke's home. They confiscated two notebook computers and one printer.

Dozens of officers from the police department broke into Mr. Mai's home. They confiscated several computers, a television set, and over a dozen printers including some damaged ones.

6. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Liu Jianrong and Ms. Chen Xiaofeng Arrested

Mr. Liu Jianrong and Ms. Chen Xiaofeng of Caofeidian District were arrested by officers from the Tanghai Town SWAT Team on November 19, 2015 for distributing calendars with Falun Gong contents. Ding Na, deputy director of the Chengguan Police Station, grabbed Ms. Chen's hand to take her fingerprints. The detention center refused to admit her for high blood pressure found during the physical exam. The two practitioners were allowed to be taken home by their families temporarily. Ms. Chen was arrested and taken to the Tanghai Detention Center the following day.

7. [Huaiyang County, Henan Province] Ms. Chen Dourong Officially Placed Under Arrest

A dozen officers including Li Changfeng from the Huaiyang County Domestic Security Division broke into Ms. Chen Dourong's home and arrested her at Dubukou Village in Zhuji Township on October 10, 2015. Ms. Chen's family received notices of a detention and an arrest warrant.

8. [Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Wang Qiuxiang Detained

Ms. Wang Qiuxiang, in her 60s, was arrested at home by officers from the Chengbei Police Station and the Fenghuangshan community personnel on November 18, 2015. She is detained in the Jinhua City Detention Center.

9. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Yang Guoli Detained

Ms. Yang Guoli of the Fengrun District was arrested and taken to the Domestic Security Division on November 19, 2015. She was then transferred to a detention center by officers from the Yinchengpu Police Station.

10. [Qianguo County, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Zhang Guoqin, Ms. Xin Shiying, and Ms. Zhang Shuqing were arrested by Jiang Liang, director of the Hongquan Township Police Station, and Zhang Xiaoping, a police officer on November 19, 2015. The three practitioners are held in the Qianguo County Detention Center.

11. [Jiayu County, Hubei Province] Mr. Luo Mingzhi Arrested

Officers from the Fangjiazhuang Police Station broke into Mr. Luo Mingzhi's home and arrested him on November 17, 2015. They confiscated two printers, a computer, Falun Dafa books, DVDs, and paper bills with facts about Falun Gong printed on them. Mr. Luo was taken to the police station. His whereabouts became unknown the following day.

12. [Dezhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Dong Juan Detained

Ms. Dong Juan, 47, of Lingcheng District was arrested at work by officers from the Lingcheng District Domestic Security Division on November 20, 2015. She was taken to the Lingcheng District Police Department and then transferred to Dezhou Detention Center. The police ransacked her home.

13. [Luntai County, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region] Mr. He Zhenyue Detained

Mr. He Zhenyue of Ziyang City in Sichuan Province was arrested at work in Luntai County in Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region by officers from Luntai County Police Department and the Domestic Security Division on November 17, 2015. He is detained in the local detention center.

Mr. He had been held in the Xinhua Labor Camp in Mianyang City, Sichuan Province for three years.

14. [Linqing City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhou Junhong Detained

Mr. Zhou Junhong was arrested by officers from the Xinhua Road Police Station on November 19, 2015. He is detained in the Linqing City Detention Center.

15. [Haicheng City, Liaoning Province] Two Practitioners Detained

Ms. Zhao Junfang and another practitioner were arrested by officers from the Xiliu Police Department when they were distributing table calendars with Falun Gong contents on November 17, 2015. Both practitioners are detained in the Anshan Detention Center.

16. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Shi Yiqin Detained

Ms. Shi Yiqin of the No. 6 District of Donghuhuayuan was arrested at home by officers from the Donghu Police Department on November 20, 2015 for suing Jiang Zemin. It was reported that she was detained for 15 days.

17. [Shangshui County, Henan Province] Ms. Yang Chunmei Detained

Ms. Yang Chunmei, 51, a teacher of the No. 1 Dongcheng High School, was arrested at school by the police on November 12, 2015. She has been detained in the Zhoukou City Detention Center.

18. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Ji Delian's House Arrest Lifted

Ms. Ji Delian was tried on November 13 for practicing Falun Gong. The 72-year-old defended herself and plead not guilty. In particular, she told the spectators how Falun Gong helped her to recover from injuries sustained from a terrible car accident. The judge adjourned the session without any verdict.

A week later, the police lifted the "house arrest" on Ms. Li when they ransacked her home. She had filed a lawsuit against former Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin. It is unknown whether the judge had dismissed the case against her.

Prior to the house arrest, Ms. Li had been arrested several times since 2014. Each time she was quickly released on bail, only to be arrested again not long afterwards.

19. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Jia Pengfei's Mother Requested Public Hearing of Her Son's Case

After Mr. Jia Pengfei was given a four-year sentencing on September 29, 2015, his mother requested an appeal. Their attorney met with Mr. Jia at Xuanhua Detention Center to complete and submit his appeal to Xuanhua District Court.

The court then submitted the case to Zhangjiakou City Intermediate Court for a second hearing. Mr. Jia's attorney found that the Intermediate Court would not hold an open hearing, and planned to uphold the original verdict.

Mr. Jia's mother will appeal to the Supreme Court in Shijiazhuang City.

20. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Tian Baodong Tortured in Hualongzhai Prison

Mr. Tian Baodong was sentenced to five and half years in 2013 for practicing Falun Gong. According to insiders, he is now in critical condition after two years of torture at Hualongzhai Prison in Benxi. He is emaciated and cannot walk by himself.

21. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Mao Juan Detained

Officers from the Jixian Police Station in Heping District arrested three Falun Gong practitioners on October 21, 2015 for filing criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin, the former Chinese dictator. The two elderly practitioners were released. However, 57-year-old Ms. Mao Juan was taken to the Shenyang Detention Center two days later.
