(Minghui.org) Ms. Wang Xiaorong was working at her family-owned restaurant on December 4 when four police officers came in and arrested her.
The 43-year-old woman from Taian City, Shandong Province was given 10-day detention for practicing Falun Gong, a spiritual practice being persecuted by the Chinese communist regime.
In hindsight, Ms. Wang realized that the trigger for her arrest was the lawsuit she had filed against Jiang Zemin in August of this year. In her criminal complaint, she holds the former Chinese dictator responsible for her 10-month labor camp detention.
Just a few weeks before her latest arrest, the local police deceived her into going to the police station, where several officers questioned her about the lawsuit and forced her to sign off on their interrogation records. They also tried to make her give up Falun Gong, which she declined to do.
Ms. Wang is one of many Shandong practitioners harassed or arrested for filing criminal complaints against Jiang. Now released, she shares why she is determined to bring Jiang to justice.
It is her constitutional right to believe in Falun Gong, a practice that has returned her to health time and again from diseases and accident-induced injuries. She, however, was arrested in 2005 and spent months doing hard labor and and being bombarded with slander against Falun Gong.
Ms. Wang and her husband are both natives of Daan City, Jilin Province. The couple moved to Taian City, Shandong Province in 2000 and opened up a small restaurant there. The restaurant business requires long hours and hard work. Despite the huge workload, she remained in good health. She credited this to her practice in Falun Gong.
After the Chinese Communist Party launched the persecution in 1999, she felt that she should help people understand the facts about Falun Gong and Master Li, the founder of Falun Gong.
Ms. Wang was arrested one day in August 2005 for placing Falun Gong information materials on a shelf inside Lianhua Market Place in Yichu District. She was interrogated until evening and then illegally taken to Taian Detention Center for a month.
During her detention, Ms. Wang was forced to do heavy work for long hours. She would be cursed or beaten when she did not finish the work assigned. She was forced to sign some documents without knowing the content. To obtain better treatment for her in the detention center, her husband visited the guard who supervised the inmates and was forced to hand over 500 yuan.
In September, Ms. Wang was illegally sent to Shandong First Women's Labor Camp for one year without her family's knowledge. In the labor camp, she was forced to do manual labor every day, getting up before dawn and going to bed after midnight. She was also forced to watch slanderous videos against Dafa and listen to propaganda by people who had renounced Falun Gong. She could always hear persecution stories of practitioners who refused to give up their beliefs. Under this tremendous physical and mental torture, Ms. Wang stopped practicing for a time. Her health also deteriorated.
Ms. Wang developed insomnia. Her vision became blurred. She also suffered headaches, dizziness, and vomiting. She was diagnosed with constriction of an artery in her brain by doctors at the Armed Police Hospital. Because of this, she was released in July 2006.
Ms. Wang's daughter was only 11 when Ms. Wang was arrested in 2005. She had to bear the pain of losing her mother while helping her father at the restaurant after school. She cried often. She and her father went to the labor camp in Jinan after they learned the news, but were not allowed to see Ms. Wang.
Ms. Wang's arrest also made it difficult for her husband to run the family's restaurant business. He also worried over her maltreatment at the camp and often cried in private. He had to bear the sneers of people who were deceived by the lies. Not a practitioner himself, he strongly objected when his wife resumed practicing Falun Gong after her release.
In her complaint against Jiang, Ms. Wang also recounted how Falun Gong returned her to health three times over the course of her practice.
Ms. Wang started practicing Falun Gong in 1998. She suffered from uterine bleeding and severe low back pain. She tried many different medicines, but none worked. In addition, she still had to take care of her little child. She was miserable. All of her health problems disappeared after the cultivation.
Ms. Wang demanded of herself that she act in accordance with the principles of“Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.” She developed peace of mind, and became more kindhearted and considerate. Her family became very harmonious.
Her physical condition was poor after she was released from the labor camp. She frequently had headaches. In 2007, she was diagnosed with a tumor in her pituitary gland that grew until she could hardly breathe. At a hospital checkup, she was told that an operation might not completely remove it.
Falling into despair, Ms. Wang thought of Falun Gong and how it had returned her to health. She decided to start practicing Falun Gong again and the tumor vanished.
Another miracle happened in 2011. Ms. Wang was hit by a car and fractured her forearms. She was put in a plaster cast. The doctor told her that she could remove the cast in one month and should avoid heavy lifting for six months. She checked out of the hospital nine days later. However, she was able to get her cast off in two weeks, and was able to do regular housework right away.
In 1999, Jiang Zemin, as head of the Chinese Communist Party, overrode other Politburo standing committee members and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong.
The persecution has led to the deaths of many Falun Gong practitioners in the past 16 years. More have been tortured for their belief and even killed for their organs. Jiang Zemin is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution.
Under his personal direction, the Chinese Communist Party established an extralegal security organ, the “610 Office,” on June 10, 1999. The organization overrides police forces and the judicial system in carrying out Jiang's directive regarding Falun Gong: to ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.
Chinese law allows for citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are now exercising that right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.
