(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 15 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 9 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Chongqing] Mr. Liu Daoquan Sentenced

Mr. Liu Daoquan was arrested on the afternoon of April 9, 2013, by Li Deming, captain of the Domestic Security Division of the Shapingba District Police Department. He was sentenced to an eight-year prison term by the Chongqing Court on the afternoon of September 16, 2014. He appealed, but the court upheld the original sentence on the afternoon of February 6, 2015.

2. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Xiangying Taken to Detention Center

Ms. Wang Xiangying was recently transferred from a brainwashing center to the Linyi Detention Center.

3. [Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia] Three Practitioners Sentenced and Detained

Mr. Zhou Jinpeng, Ms. Wang Ying, and Mr. Ding Liyan were arrested by officers from the Ke District Domestic Security Division on July 26, 2014. They were sentenced in late November 2014.

Mr. Zhou was given a four year and six month prison term, Ms. Wang a three year and six month prison term, and Mr. Ding a three-year prison term.

They were held at the Tongliao Detention Center before Mr. Zhou was taken to the Baoanzhao Prison and Ms. Wang to the Hohhot Women's Prison in late December 2014.

4. [Si County, Anhui Province] Ms. Chen Jiuhua and Mr. Jiang Shuli Detained

Ms. Chen Jiuhua and her husband Mr. Jiang Shuli was arrested by officers from the Changgou Police Station on the morning of January 26, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Ms. Chen is being held at the Suzhou Criminal Detention Center and Mr. Jiang at the Si County Criminal Detention Center.

5. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Two Practitioners’ Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Huang Qian, in her 40s, was arrested by security officers on February 3, 2015. Mr. Zheng Jingxian was also arrested that evening. Their whereabouts are unknown.

6. [Hanshou County, Hunan Province] Ms. Xue Aiqiong Detained

Ms. Xue Aiqiong was arrested on July 20, 2014, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police ransacked her home and confiscated all her Falun Gong books and approximately 4,000 yuan in paper bills which had information about Falun Gong on them. She is being held at the Changde City No. 1 Detention Center.

7. [Ping Jiang County, Hunan Province] Ms. Hu Xiangmei and Ms. Zhong Cailian Detained

Ms. Hu Xiangmei and Ms. Zhong Cailian were arrested by officers including director Chen Ping from the Meixian Town Police Station on the afternoon of January 27, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were taken to the Pingjiang County Police Department and released the next afternoon.

8. [Guan County, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhao Chuanbao’s Whereabouts Unknown

Mr. Zhao Chuanbao, 43, from Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province, went to Guan County, Shandong Province for work. He was arrested by officers from the Guantang Town Police Station in the first half of 2012. His whereabouts are unknown.

9. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang Shujie Detained

Ms. Zhang Shujie was arrested and taken to the Bashanjie Police Station on the afternoon of February 4, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was taken to the Harbin City Detention Center that night and will be held there for ten days.

10. [Shanghai] Ms. Zhang Jixiu in Critical Condition

Ms. Zhang Jixiu was sentenced to a three-year and six-month prison term by the Minhang District Court on November 24, 2014. She was taken to the No. 5 Ward of the Shanghai Women's Prison on January 5, 2015. In late January, her health deteriorated due to persecution, and as a result she was taken to the General Hospital of the Shanghai Prison.

Ms. Xue Jiuyu, Ms. Shen Jindi, Ms. Chen Boying, and Ms. Wu Huixian were arrested and taken to the Fengxian Detention Center by officers from the Fengxian District Police Department on February 1, 2015.

12. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Liu Baoxin and Ms. Zhang Shue Detained

Mr. Liu Baoxin and Ms. Zhang Shue were arrested by officers from the Xiaqiu Police Station on February 2, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were taken to the Laizhou Detention Center. Mr. Liu went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution.

13. [Yitong County, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Chang Yuqin, Ms. Chai Yarong, and Ms. Liu Lihua were arrested by officers from the Sandao Town Police Station on February 3, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were taken to the Yitong County Police Department, where Ms. Chai suddenly had a heart attack and vertigo. As a result, she was taken to a hospital for emergency treatment. The other two practitioners were transferred to the Siping Detention Center the next day. Officers from the Yitong County Police Department, Sandao Town Police Station, and Dagushan Police Department ransacked their homes that day.
