(Minghui.org) Four years have gone by since I accepted my present position at work. I have been able to tell people at work about Falun Dafa and improved in cultivation by looking within when faced with problems.
My first assignment was to answer phone calls. As a new employee, however, I wasn't able to answer many questions. My colleague, a young woman, refused to help. Whenever I made a mistake, she reprimanded me.
A fellow practitioner who worked with us reminded me that I needed to improve in my cultivation. I studied the {Fa}} diligently, which helped me realize that I needed to let go of the attachment to fame. I was uncomfortable being ordered around by a woman much younger than me. Soon after I started looking at this issue like a cultivator, I realized that she was a good person and a hard worker.
I changed my way of thinking and offered to help whenever she was busy. On one occasion she had to provide account information for more than 500 customers. We worked together and the job was quickly done. After that she was a lot more open to communicating with me.
Still, I was hesitant to talk to her about Falun Dafa until she was about to leave for another job. I raised the topic, and she agreed to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and to remember that Falun Dafa was good.
When a new manager was assigned to our department, I learned that he had been deceived by the CCP, so I did not rush to tell him about Falun Dafa. I helped him with his work whenever I could. He said that he had recommended me for a promotion and praised me to his boss.
That's when I found the courage to talk to him about Falun Dafa and the importance of quitting the CCP and its affiliates. He agreed to quit the CCP.
I didn't want to miss any of the employees, so I made a list of those I still needed to talk to about Falun Dafa. Most of them quit the CCP, but, unfortunately, a few left the company before I had a chance to talk to them.
I do the exercises in the morning, and study the Fa, send forth righteous thoughts, or tell people about Falun Dafa during my lunch break. On weekends, I go out to clarify the facts about Dafa or work on Dafa projects at home.
Work has kept me busy and I do not often see other practitioners. Once when a practitioner said that I seemed to be busy, I agreed. In the next few days, I indeed became very busy. I was too tired to study the Fa well, send forth righteous thoughts well, or tell people about Falun Dafa.
Life got busy because I admitted that I was busy. Pride in my work and the show-off mentality made me accept assignments beyond my capacity. When I realized this, I only took assignments that I could handle.
My tribulation was over as soon as I changed my attitude about work, and I was able to do well everything a Dafa practitioner should do.
There are still many attachments that I need to let go of. For example, I need to study the Fa diligently and do the exercises more. This is the foundation for doing well in telling people about Falun Dafa and sending righteous thoughts.
