(Minghui.org) I own a small apparel shop, and make it a policy to be very honest with my customers about the quality of the clothing I sell. Because of that, I have won my customers’ trust and had many opportunities to tell people about Falun Gong.
A woman came to my store one day, picked up a windbreaker, and looked like she was going to buy it. I knew that it was made with lower quality materials, so I told her about it.
She could hardly believe what I told her, and commented, “I’ve never met a shop owner who was so honest about their merchandise. You’re a person of integrity!”
I recommended another brand to her, “This one is of superior quality, but also very expensive. My daughter really liked it, so I stocked up on it for customers with similar taste.”
“Your daughter likes to wear grown-ups' clothing?” she asked.
She couldn't believe it when I told her that my daughter had graduated from college already.
“What? I thought your daughter is at most in middle school. You look to be in your thirties. How could your daughter already be a college graduate?”
I told her that when I was in my thirties, I looked like I was in my forties because I had persistent pyelonephritis (a bacteria infection in the kidneys). But I was cured after I began practicing Falun Gong over a decade ago.
She was taken aback by my revelation.
“Falun Gong?” she asked. “Hasn't the government long banned the practice?”
I explained to her that there is no law that criminalizes Falun Gong, so the persecution has been illegal from the onset. Moreover, freedom of belief is protected by the Chinese constitution.
She couldn't understand why the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) launched the attack on Falun Gong after what I told her. I replied that Jiang Zemin, the former CCP leader, was afraid of the practice's growing popularity. Jiang was also jealous of Falun Gong's founder, who is deeply respected by the practitioners.
I also told her that six of the seven Politburo Standing Committee members in the central government actually opposed the decision to ban Falun Gong.
She then brought up the Tiananmen Square self-immolation incident. I told her that it was actually an elaborate hoax staged by government officials in an attempt to slander and demonize Falun Gong.
I informed her that many high-ranking officials have received karmic retribution for their active participation in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners, especially those involved in illegal organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners.
I urged her to sever ties with the CCP and its subordinate organizations, so as to avoid guilt by association. She told me that she would think about it.
She came back a few days later and told me that she was planning to ask her aunt to practice Falun Gong for her kidney disease.
She added, “You’re an honest and kindhearted person, and you’re completely different from what the government said about Falun Gong practitioners on TV.”
Before she left, I gave her a copy of the software which she could use to break through the CCP’s Internet blockade, to learn the facts about Falun Gong, and to quit the CCP when she was ready to do so. She sincerely thanked me for helping her.
My honesty and kindness helped this person and her family learn the facts about Falun Gong, and opened their eyes to the treachery of the CCP.
