The following are some impressions shared during the camp.
Li Weizhen, the camp organizer, shared how he found areas to improve during the process of planning the camp. He devoted his time to coordinating the event because he used to be a camp attendee. He gradually realized that the goal of the camp was to awaken others as well as himself, and to assimilate to Dafa together through experience sharing.
Weizhen found that he had an attachment of single-mindedness. He felt that only he was competent and anyone else's work was subpar. During the camp, he observed how his fellow practitioners quietly helped each other make up whatever had been missed. He experienced the power of cooperation as a whole body and used it as an opportunity to forgo his obsession over the number of participants and the event's financial situation.
Weizhen said in his sharing, “Master has already paved the path for us. We, as disciples, just need to walk the path, look inward for our own faults and treat our cultivation seriously.”
Fang Yuhan, who started cultivation as a child, said that she wasn't as diligent now that she was in high school. She wavered between Dafa and everyday life, especially during her senior year. It was the most busy year for her academic work, and in addition, she encountered huge family tribulations. Yuhan treasured her time at the Young Practitioners' Experience Sharing Camp because everyone renewed their original determination to cultivate, through Fa study and experience sharing.
Another practitioner, Huang Shiwei said, “Through experience sharing, I found many areas where I fall short. I will cultivate more diligently and make up for my shortcomings.”
Tests in the areas of lust, desire and sentiment are difficult tests for young practitioners and these were important topics during the camp's break-out discussions.
One of the practitioners explained that the reason why he lagged behind in his cultivation was because he failed to pass the tests of lust, desire and sentiment. The old forces took advantage of him and increasingly made his tests harder and harder. After many stumbles, he finally sought out his family to help him overcome his tribulations. They talked it through from the perspective of Falun Dafa's principles. This eliminated his mental burden and brought about a great turning point in his cultivation. He became more determined to cultivate himself diligently.
Young practitioners continuously encouraged each other to remain diligent after returning to their everyday lives and to never stray from their cultivation path.
The camp was a great success and a valuable experience for all participants.
