(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wang Xuemei from Dandong City, Liaoning Province has been illegally detained in the Dandong Detention Center for about four months. She has severe heart disease, has fainted several times, and her health is deteriorating. Nevertheless, the Yuanbao District Court put her on trial March 18, 2015.
Ms. Wang's attorney told Judge Ma Shuhe, "The evidence presented in this case can't constitute a crime. I hope that the judge will enforce the law.”
Judge Shuhe replied: “Practicing Falun Gong is a crime, as defined by the government, 610 Office and Political and Legal Affairs Committee. They handle these kinds of cases, not me.”
He then threatened the attorney: “You can't mention that Falun Gong is not a cult during the proceedings. I will warn you once, and then I will kick you out of the court.”
Ms. Wang's attorney noticed that Ms. Song and Ms. Wang's names were noted in the case records. He questioned the procuratorate, who told him that Ms. Song should not be noted in the records.
It was learned that the Zhenxing District police already submitted the case records to the procuratorate at the end of January, although Li Gang still investigated Ms. Song for so-called evidence on February 6, 2015. The police attempted to fabricate evidence against mother and daughter.
Ms. Wang Xuemei was arrested on November 19, 2014 when she tried to attend the trial against a fellow practitioner in the Yuanbao District Court. Police found two copies of the Minghui Weekly in her possession and arrested her. They ransacked her home and arrested her daughter Ms. Song Fei. Ms. Song was released on bail.
The police station received a lot of phone calls from overseas, telling them the facts about Falun Gong and to release Ms. Wang. Ms. Wang's sister went to the police station and demanded her release.
Jiang Chengge, director of the police station, and Li Gang said, “We all know Falun Gong is innocent. We will practice Falun Gong too when the persecution ends. But, we can't release her or we will be arrested. Please do not call us any more.”
