Additional Persecution News from China – April 13, 2015 (14 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 12 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 18 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Tuanfeng County, Hubei Province] Five Practitioners Detained

Twelve practitioners were watching lectures taught by Master Li, founder of Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa), on the afternoon of April 10, 2015. Sixteen police officers arrested them and ransacked the place. They confiscated Falun Dafa books, DVDs and materials containing Falun Gong information and other items. Seven of the practitioners were released that night. Ms. Ye Juhua, Mr. Wang Yansheng, Ms. Yu Chunhua, Ms. Wu Fengxian, and Ms. Lin Li were taken to the Xishui Detention Center.

2. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yu Suying Arrested

Ms. Yu Suying was working odd jobs in Chengdu. She was reported for telling others about Falun Gong on her way to work. She was arrested on April 10, 2015, and taken to the Pi County Detention Center.

3. [Jiaohe City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Qu Xiangyun, Ms. Jiang Kailan, and Ms. Wu Guizhi were reported while telling people about Falun Gong on April 10, 2015. That afternoon the police arrested, interrogated, and took photos of the three practitioners. Ms. Wu was released that day. Ms. Qu and Ms. Jiang were taken to the Jiaohe City Detention Center.

4. [Miyi County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhang Kaiqiong Detained

Ms. Zhang Kaiqiong, Ms. Liu Tianmei, Ms. Xu Zhenghui, and Ms. Li Xueju were arrested in Rongchang County, Chongqing on March 8, 2015. Ms. Liu, Ms. Xu, and Ms. Li were released on March 10. Ms. Zhang has been held at the Rongchang Detention Center for 35 days.

5. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Chunmei Tried

Ms. Li Chunmei, who was held in custody for nearly nine months, was tried in the Ganjingzi Court on the morning of April 9, 2015. She was sentenced from three to seven years in prison.

6. [Jiuquan City, Gansu Province] Two Practitioners Arrested

Police officers from Jiuquan City broke into Mr. Zhang Jianguo and Ms. Zheng Yuxiang's home and ransacked it on January 7, 2015. The following day the officers barged into their home again, arrested and interrogated Mr. Zhang. They planned to detain Mr. Zhang for 15 days, but he refused to cooperate. He was released three days later.

Ms. Xu Liying was arrested at home by Chen Jianhua, head of the Domestic Security Division, on February 6, 2015. Her home was ransacked. It was reported that a warrant had been issued and Ms. Xu was officially placed under arrest.

7. [Lengshuijiang City, Hunan Province] Mr. Liu Erli Imprisoned

Mr. Liu Erli, 73, was tried and sentenced. The court did not issue the verdict to his family and Mr. Liu was taken to the Wangling Prison.

8. [Chongqing] Ms. Wang Xiaoxia and Ms. You Zhangfeng Arrested

Ms. Wang Xiaoxia, 44, and Ms. You Zhangfeng, 74, both from the Yubei District were followed and arrested on April 10, 2015, by Zou Shengyong and other officers, from the Yubei District Domestic Security Division, for telling people about Falun Gong. Both practitioners were taken to the Caijia Police Station in Beibei District. Ms. Wang was released due to high blood pressure. Ms. You remains in custody at the Beibei District Detention Center.

At the same time, the Caijia Police Station ransacked Ms. Wang's home and confiscated all her Falun Dafa materials, a printer, two computers, a cell phone, a few hundred blank DVDs, and copies of Shen Yun DVDs.

9. [Ruichang City, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Wang Yiming's Home Ransacked

Several officers from the Pencheng Police Station broke into Mr. Wang Yiming's home on the morning of April 11, 2015. Mr. Wang, 70, was not at home at the time. The officers ransacked his home and confiscated a computer, a printer, Falun Dafa books, DVDs, Falun Gong informational materials, and cash worth tens of thousands of yuan.

10. [Jiaokou County, Shanxi Province] Mr. Zhang Jianli Arrested

Mr. Zhang Jianli was arrested and his home was ransacked on April 10, 2015.

11. [Yongkang City, Zhejiang Province] Non-practitioner Mr. Lou Dejia Arrested

Mr. Lou Dejia, family member of a Falun Gong practitioner, was arrested on the morning of April 9, 2015. His home was ransacked. He is being held in the Jinhua City 610 Office.

12. [Jinyun County, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Hu Nanling Imprisoned

The Lishui Intermediate Court upheld Ms. Hu Nanling's original prison term of three years and six months. Ms. Hu was taken to the Zhejiang Women's Prison on April 8, 2015. She developed high blood pressure in prison and is very weak.

Ms. Liu Yanfang, Ms. Du Zhenjun, and Ms. Xu Yajie face trial on April 17, 2015.

14. [Hongan County, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhang Qiumei and Ms. Wu Liheng Arrested

Ms. Zhang Qiumei and Ms. Wu Liheng were arrested by officers from the Yonghe Town Police Station on the morning of April 12, 2015 for telling people Falun Gong.
