(Minghui.org) Ms. Liu Zuona was savagely beaten by one guard and ten inmates just nine days into her four-year sentence at Liaoning Province Women's Prison for shouting “Falun Dafa is good.”

She was badly injured and thrown into solitary confinement. The guards took her to the prison hospital for force-feeding when she went on a hunger strike to protest the abuse. She has now returned to the ninth ward, but is closely monitored and forced to go through brainwashing sessions every day.

Ms. Liu was arrested on February 28 of last year while seeking release of her husband Mr. Jin Xinnian, who like her is also a Falun Dafa practitioner. Simply for shouting “Falun Dafa is good” inside the police station, she was charged with disturbing social order and undermining law enforcement.

Ganjingzi District Court tried her about five months later, and she was transferred to the prison on January 27 of this year.

While Ms. Liu is serving her time for committing no crime, her husband just returned home last December after two years of incarceration for upholding his belief.
