Additional Persecution News from China–March 31, 2015 (7 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 4 provinces. According to this report, 3 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, at least 6 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Zhang Jimei Illegally Sentenced

Ms. Zhang Jimei was arrested on October 16, 2014, and detained in the Linyi Detention Center. Ms. Zhang was illegally sentenced to three years and three months on November 12, 2014.

2. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Xiuxia Passed Away

Ms. Zhang Xiuxia, in her sixties, was ordered to renounce Falun Gong by Ma, chief of the Daxing District 610 Office, on December 26, 2014. She suddenly had breathing difficulties, and was taken to a hospital. She died on March 19, 2015.

Ms. Zhang and her husband have been repeatedly harassed and taken to brainwashing sessions.

3. [Huaihua City, Hunan Province] Ms. Wang Wanying Arrested

Ms. Wang Wanying, 77, was arrested on March 25, 2015, for talking to people about Falun Gong, and was released in the evening.

4. [Liaozhong County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Guo Xiuzhi Arrested

Ms. Guo Xiuzhi was arrested at home on March 30, 2015, by officers from the Xijie Police Station.

5. [Zunhua City, Hebei Province] Ms. Yang Guixiang and Two Other Falun Gong Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Yang Guixiang, Mr. Zhang Zifan, and Ms. Guo Xiuzhi were arrested on March 30, 2015, and detained in the Zunhua City Domestic Security Division, for distributing Shen Yun Performance DVDs in Cuijiazhuang Township.

6. [Huai'an County, Hebei Province] Ms. He Guizhi Arrested

Railway police searched Ms. He Guizhi on March 23, 2015, and found Falun Gong informational materials. She was taken to a detention center, but rejected because she failed the physical exam. She returned home that evening.

7. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Ji Lijun Arrested

Ms. Ji Lijun was arrested by officers from the Qidao Police Station on March 25, 2015, for telling people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked. The police confiscated a computer, Falun Gong books, and informational materials. Ms. Ji is being detained in the Dandong Detention Center.
