(Minghui.org) The Falun Dafa Association of Japan participated in the 39th Flower Festival in Hiroshima on May 3. The festival is known as the largest annual event in Hiroshima. “Sending out flowers of peace, bringing smiles,” was this year's theme.
Over 1.65 million people attend the festival every year, and Falun Dafa practitioners participated in the event for the 14th consecutive year.
Light rain did not deter spectators from coming out to watch the parade. The Falun Dafa procession featured the Divine Land Marching Band, float, and waist drum team.

On the float decorated with fresh flowers, practitioners dressed as celestial maidens greeted spectators. Young practitioners distributed handmade paper lotus flowers to young spectators.

Following the float was a Falun Dafa exercise demonstration and the lively performances of the waist drum team capped off the Falun Dafa procession.
Announcers introduced Falun Dafa to the crowd, explaining, “Falun Dafa is a traditional Chinese practice for health improvement. The five sets of exercises and the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance benefit people in mind and body. It has been welcomed in over 100 countries.”

The practitioners also put on stage performances, including lion dances, martial arts, band performances and an exercise demonstration after the parade. They were well-received by the audience and several asked how they could learn Falun Gong.
