(Minghui.org) Six Falun Gong practitioners were wrongully sentenced to prison by the Dongpo District Court in Meishan City, Sichuan Province on April 17, 2015.
Mr. Zhou Guoping was sentenced to five years; Ms. Wan Wu, Ms. Zhu Qunhua, Ms. Huang Xiaoli and Mr. Xie Kaijun were sentenced to between three years and two months to three years and six months; Mr. Zhang Xuejun was released on probation.
All six practitioners were illegally arrested by officers from the Meishan 610 Office and Domestic Security Division on July 7, 2014, along with several other practitioners.
Mr. Zhou, Ms. Zhu, Ms. Huang, Mr. Xie were detained at the Meishan City Detention Center. Ms. Wan and Mr. Zhang were released on bail pending the trial. The others were released.
The six practitioners were put on trial by the Dongpo District Court on February 5, 2015. Ms. Huang’s lawyer pleaded not guilty for her. The other practitioners talked about the persecution of Falun Gong in court. The presiding judge ended the trial without delivering a verdict that day.
