(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 5 provinces. According to this report, 8 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 7 were illegally arrested.

1. [Donggang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Xiaoping and Ms. Sun Yongqin Arrested

Ms. Zhang Xiaoping and Ms. Sun Yongqin were arrested on the evening of April 18, 2015.

2. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhu Qiong Transferred to Dabei Prison

Ms. Zhu Qiong, Ms. Wang Wei, and Mr. Ma Wenfeng from the Huanxiling area were arrested and taken to a police station for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong in rural areas on the evening of May 13, 2014.

Ms. Zhu was sentenced to four years in prison and taken to the Dabei Prison in Shenyang City.

Mr. Ma and Ms. Wang were sentenced to three years and two and a half years in prison respectively, both with three years probation. The two practitioners returned home in December 2014. They are being monitored by the local neighborhood committee, the judicial department, and their work units.

3. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Yiying Arrested

Ms. Zhang Yiying was arrested by officers from the Dongcheng Police Department on the evening of April 26, 2015. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books and other informational materials about the practice.

4. [Emeishan City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

The Emeishan City Court sentenced three practitioners to prison on March 13, 2015, without notifying their lawyers. Ms. Liu Fengxia was sentenced to four years in prison, Ms. Guan Xueling to three and a half years, and Ms. Dai Min to three years. The three practitioners are detained in the Emeishan City Detention Center.

5. [Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Su Chengfang Forced to Leave Home

The Zhanjiang City and Lianjiang City 610 Office forced Ms. Su Chengfang to surrender her passport. Her employer was forced by the 610 Office to take her to a brainwashing center. Ms. Su escaped and became homeless to avoid further persecution.

6. [Dongguan City, Guangdong Province] Teacher Liang Arrested

Ms. Liang, a teacher with the Tangxia Technical School, was arrested on April 2, 2015, and taken to the local police station by officers from the 610 Office. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated eight cell phones, two printers, four computers, two PCs, Falun Dafa books, and informational materials.

7. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wang Jinglin Arrested

Ms. Wang Jinglin, a retired worker from the Donghua Machine Factory, who lives in the Moziqiao area, was arrested on May 2, 2015. The police confiscated Falun Dafa books and brochures.

8. [Beijing] Ms. Geng Fenglan Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Geng Fenglan, in her seventies, from HouzhuangVillage, Liangxiang Town, in the Fangshan District, was arrested for telling people about Falun Dafa on April 25, 2015. She was taken to the Tiangezhuang Detention Center in the Fangshan District, and recently transferred to the Guandao Brainwashing Center in the Fangshan District.

9. [Xianning City, Hubei Province] Ms. Tao Xizhen Detained

Ms. Tao Xizhen, a retired worker from the Xianning City Construction Company, was arrested at home on August 8, 2014. She was held in the Banqiao Brainwashing Center in Wuhan City, and transferred to the Xianning City Detention Center on October 29, 2014.

10. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Yue and Ms. Guo Yumei Arrested

Ms. Liu Yue and Ms. Guo Yumei, from the Longfeng District, were arrested and detained by officers from the Longfeng Police Department.
