(Minghui.org) I started practicing Falun Dafa right before I turned 30. That was back in 1995. Since I was relatively young compared to my fellow practitioners, I volunteered to ride 15 miles on my bike to get our group Dafa books and materials. I regularly participated in experience sharing meetings amongst coordinators in surrounding areas, and often traveled to villages to help set up practice sites.
Aligning with the Fa at Critical Moments
Two years after our practice site closed down because of the persecution, which was in fall of 2001, I noticed that some fellow practitioners were involved in non-practitioners' activities, with some playing cards daily. I thought that they would fall behind in their cultivation if they continued to slack off.
After talking the issue over with a few practitioners, we decided to set up another practice site. This would help us study the Fa and do the exercises regularly, but I had security concerns. What if practitioners were persecuted for coming to the practice site? Who would bear that responsibility?
After several days of intense Fa-study, we realized that having a practice site is a cultivation format that Master had given us. As long as it aligns with the Fa, the old forces cannot interfere or persecute us.
In addition, Master repeatedly told us to study the Fa more. Only when one studies the Fa more, can one align with the Fa at critical moments, and not waver or hesitate.
Not Afraid to Reestablish Practice Site
Prior to the persecution, our practice site was at the home of two elderly practitioners, husband and wife. They agreed to host it at their home once again.
The first few times I went to the practice site, my husband was very worried because people might think that I was the coordinator.
The first time we held a group outdoor practice, and my husband asked me who organized it. Not wanting him to blame others, I said that I did. He got very angry and hit me. But I was determined and said, “I have Master and the Fa. As long as it is the right thing to do, I will do it.”
At the time, I did not realize that the old forces were controlling him. Once I realized the problem, I sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil factors controlling him and he stopped interfering with me.
At the beginning, only three or four practitioners came to the practice site. After several months, more practitioners were able to overcome family objections and joined our practice site. We also clarified the facts about Falun Dafa to practitioners' families. Eventually most practitioners in my village came to the practice site regularly.
“Let them practice here in peace”
Our practice site has been operating smoothly since 2001.
Village officials would come on holidays and sensitive dates to check if all the practitioners were at the practice site. When they saw everyone they said, “They are all here. Let's not bother them. If we don't let them practice there, these practitioners would go to Beijing to appeal. Let them practice here in peace.”
The practitioners at our practice site study the Fa and do the exercises regularly. We also periodically study the Fa and exchange our understandings with practitioners from other townships.
Officials Give Up
After the persecution started in 1999, I was frequently harassed by officials from different government agencies and police.
A village officer approached me in November 1999 and said, “The police is looking for you. This time just do what they ask or you will be taken to a detention center.”
I didn't have a clear understanding of how to resist the persecution, but I had no fear. I knew that I could not follow their orders. I put on a heavy jacket and shoes, and was ready to be arrested.
While at the village office, I answered their questions truthfully and talked to them about Falun Dafa. After a while, one official said, “We cannot convince her. Don't ask her if she would practice or not. A person like her is trouble no matter where we take her. Just let her go home.”
Another time, a young woman from the Communist Youth League came to my home and tried to convince me to give up Falun Dafa. I talked with her for a long time. As she was leaving, I asked her to come back when she had time.
“I would end up practicing Falun Dafa with you if I came back. You are so convincing.” she said.
“It is not that I am convincing, it is because Dafa is really that good.” I told her, “Everything practitioners do is good for our families and for society.”
