At first, my husband accused me of damaging paper currency after he found I'd written messages on all of my son's loose bills. I looked inward and realized that deep in my heart, I too had this notion that I was damaging money. With more Fa study and with strengthening my righteous thoughts, I rectified my mind. Now my husband is very supportive. He even collects paper currency for me to print messages on.
The first time I printed messages on currency, a practitioner suggested that the font was too small. I disagreed with her, but I tried to make the font larger. Indeed, the message was much more eye-catching with a larger font. I immediately realized that I was still afraid, because a smaller font was less likely to catch people's attention when I spent the money. I realized that I should be dignified and upright, because this paper currency is being used to save people.
Whenever I collect a couple hundred bills of paper currency, I gently wash them with laundry detergent, place them between paper towels to dry, and flatten them by inserting them between books. After five or six days, they become flat and dry, ready for printing. When I am careful, the printing job proceeds smoothly. But if I haven't studied the Fa well, there can be many mistakes, such as money getting jammed in the printer, or the message coming out crooked.
A fellow practitioner had handwriting like that of an elementary student because she used to be illiterate. While her son, a college graduate, has much better handwriting, the mother's handwritten messages had more appeal than the son's. I think itwas because of her righteous thoughts and dedication. Besides righteous thoughts and a dignified mentality, I learned to dedicate my heart to this job to ensure the best quality layout and printing. I think that is why people cherish these bills.
Getting Rid of Attachment to Profit
I have been providing paper currency with truth-clarification messages to other practitioners. At Fa study time, they exchange their money with my printed bills, and then spend them for their daily purchases. At first, I counted every penny of money exchanged. Then I decided to trust them more by leaving the printed paper currency for them and letting them exchange it for themselves. This saved me lots of time.
A practitioner once exchanged a 100-yuan bill with my printed paper currency. After she left, I suspected that the bill was fake. It felt thin. The color and pattern looked different from my own 100-yuan bills. I struggled in my mind for two days about whether I should tell her. I knew that her financial situation was not good. How would she deal with the fake 100-yuan bill? I decided not to tell her.
Interestingly, after I let go of the attachment to profit, the bill looked more and more real to me. I looked through my other 100-yuan bills and found one that looked identical to it. I took both of them to a bank in the afternoon. The bank staff told me that they were real. Cultivation is so miraculous! Once we let go of attachments, we will not lose anything.
Paper Currency with Printed Messages Becomes Popular in Our Area
We spend paper currency with truth-clarification messages wherever we go. My son also practices Falun Dafa. Ever since he was in elementary school, we've given him money to spend near the school to buy food. Now he is in high school. He has spent so much money with messages that sometimes his classmate received them as change from vendors.
One day while grocery shopping, I talked to the vendor about Falun Dafa and an old man who was chatting with her. When I was about to leave, the vendor forgot that I'd paid her already and asked me to pay again. Startled, I still decided to pay her again. The old man reminded her that I'd paid already, but she could not recall it.
I told her that I gave her four bills and three of them had messages on them. She confirmed that she indeed had three bills with the messages that I mentioned. The vendor apologized to me. I saw that she also had other paper currency with truth-clarification messages, but not printed by me.
I've had gained many insights resulting from printing messages on paper currency. The most important is that we only do the work in this dimension; Master is the one who makes all the miracles happen. I am so grateful for Master's salvation and protection.
