(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 17 cities or counties in 12 provinces. According to this report, 26 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 19 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Shihezi City, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region] Ms. Wang Aimin Sentenced to Eight Years in Prison

Ms. Wang Aimin, 49, was arrested on September 17, 2014, for hanging up banners with facts about Falun Gong. Ms. Wang works at the No. 150 Regiment of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps of the No. 8 Agricultural Construction Division in Shihezi City. The next day she was placed in detention by the Shihezi City Police Department. Her arrest was approved on October 18, 2014. She has been held in the Shihezi City No. 1 Detention Center.

The No. 8 Agricultural Construction Division Intermediate Court held the second trial without notifying her family and sentenced her to eight years in prison on March 16, 2015.

2. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Lu Caixia and Mr. Song Lexian Arrested

Ms. Lu Caixia was arrested by the Zhongyangmen Police Station and the Gulou District Police Department in early April 2015. Her home was ransacked. She has been held in the Gulou District Brainwashing Center.

Mr. Song Lexian, 88, was also monitored, followed, and arrested in early April. The police ransacked his home and confiscated all his Falun Dafa materials, a printer, and anything that was related to Falun Gong. He was released.

Elderly Ms. Sun Changrui's home was ransacked, and all her Falun Dafa books and materials were confiscated.

3. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Five Practitioners Remain in Custody

Nine practitioners from the Nanpiao District were arrested on March 16, 2015. Ms. Zhang Qingzhen, Ms. Wang Yan, Ms. Ji Jianmei, and Ms. Ji Xi were released. The other five practitioners are still detained.

4. [Weishi County, Henan Province] Ms. Wang Yu'e and Ms. Wang Aixia Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Wang Yu'e and Ms. Wang Aixia were arrested and taken to the Kaifeng City Detention Center on May 26, 2014, for distributing Falun Gong informational materials. Both practitioners were tried on October 30, 2014. They were each sentenced to three years in prison on March 30, 2015. They are still being held in the Kaifeng City Detention Center.

5. [Baishan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Gong Qiumin Arrested

Ms. Gong Qiumin was arrested on April 23, 2015.

6. [Mei County, Guangdong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Li Genmou and his wife Ms. Chen Yinying were arrested by officers from the Meizhou City Domestic Security Division and the Chengdong Town Police Station on the morning of April 23, 2015. Their home was ransacked.

That same morning, other officers from the Domestic Security Division and police station went to Mr. Ye Guanghui's home in Yushui Villag, Chengdong Town, Meijiang District, and arrested him. They also ransacked his home.

7. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Song Xiulan Displaced

Three officers from the Chengqu Police Station in the Hanting District broke into Ms. Song Xiulan's home and ransacked it. They confiscated a computer, two printers, and other personal belongings. Ms. Song managed to escape. She was forced to leave town to avoid arrest.

8. [Xi'an City, Shanxi Province] Five Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Li Hua, Ms. Jin Rong, Ms. Kou Qiaoyun, and Ms. Wang Juanxiu were sentenced to prison. They were taken to the Shanxi Women's Prison on April 2, 2015.

Mr. Zeng Zhaohua from Hanzhong City was sentenced to prison. He was taken to the Shanxi Weinan Prison on April 8, 2015.

9. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Liao Mengyuan and Mr. Wu Chunjian Arrested

Ms. Liao Mengyuan and Mr. Wu Chunjian were arrested on April 21, 2015.

10. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Ms. Chen Tianxia Arrested

Elderly Ms. Chen Tianxia from the Jianghuai Aviation Instrument Factory was arrested for distributing Falun Gong informational materials on the morning of April 22, 2015. Her whereabouts are unknown.

11. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Li Ruiling Tried

Ms. Li Ruiling was tried in Jinshui District Court on the morning of March 11, 2015. Her lawyer pleaded not guilty on her behalf. The judge adjourned the trial quickly.

12. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Wang Aiqin Tried

Ms. Wang Aiqin was tried in Jinshui District Court on the morning of March 24, 2015. Her defense lawyer pleaded not guilty on her behalf. After two hours the court announced a postponement. On the morning of April 17, the court held a second hearing. Ms. Wang's lawyer again pleaded not guilty on her behalf. No verdict was announced.

13. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Yu Guilan Arrested

About eight plainclothes officers from the Changchun Domestic Security Division, the Chaoyang District Police Department, and the Baiju Road Police Station broke into Ms. Yu Guilan's home and ransacked it on the morning of April 23, 2015. They confiscated a computer, a printer, a photo of Falun Dafa's founder, Falun Dafa books, Shen Yun DVDs, and paper bills with facts about Falun Dafa printed on them. Ms. Yu and her daughter were taken to the police department. Ms. Yu's daughter developed illness symptoms. She was taken to a hospital and later taken home by relatives. Ms. Yu's whereabouts are unknown.

14. [Jidong County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Ma Longhai and Ms. Mu Rongmin Arrested

Mr. Ma Longhai and Ms. Mu Rongmin were arrested by Chengnan Police Station officers on the morning of April 23, 2015, for distributing Shen Yun DVDs. They are being held in the Jidong County Domestic Security Division.

15. [Xichang City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Held for Nearly Three Months

Several practitioners were arrested by the Domestic Security Division on the morning of January 28, 2015. The officers ransacked Mr. Zhang Yi, Mr. Liao Ancai, and Mr. Guo Bin's homes. Their arrests were approved by the Xichang City Procuratorate on February 16. They have been held in the Xiaomiao Detention Center.

16. [Xinbin County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhao Guangqiang Arrested and Two Other Practitioners Harassed

Officers from the Xinbin County Domestic Security Division went to Yongling Town to harass practitioners. The homes of Ms. Tang Yuting, Mr. Liu Jincai (in Xiafang Village), and Mr. Zhao Guangqiang (in Jiahe Village) were ransacked. Mr. Zhao was arrested and taken to the Xinbin County Detention Center.

17. [Beijing] Ms. Li Huilai and Her Daughter Arrested

Ms. Li Huilai and her daughter from the Fengtai District were arrested by officers from the Dongcheng Police Department on April 21, 2015. About 10 police officers broke into their homes and ransacked the place.

18. [Beijing] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Pei Lanfeng, Ms. Niu Haixia, and two other practitioners were arrested by the Guanganmenwai Police Station in the Xicheng District on the morning of April 21, 2015. They are being held in the Guanganmenwai Police Station. They were transferred to the Xicheng District Detention Center on the morning of April 22.
