(Minghui.org) As more Falun Gong practitioners step forward to submit criminal complaints to the Chinese Supreme People's Procuratorate and the Supreme People's Court, effort to bring Jiang Zemin to justice is gaining strong momentum.
However, in filing these suits against Jiang Zemin, practitioners should pay special attention to their motivation and mentality.
In this way, practitioners should hold compassion in their hearts and eliminate any thoughts of seeking revenge. They should also relinquish any hatred and anger. After all, such emotions were instilled in the Chinese people by years of indoctrination under the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
What's more, selfish motives are taken advantage of by the old forces, which allow them to control practitioners.
For example, some practitioners have the attachment to showing off and wanting to prove that they are capable and have courage. Some want to compete and become heroes.
Alas, most practitioners in my area have some of the aforementioned attachments, while only a few could let them go. Even after they realized the problem, they continued to struggle and have a hard time eliminating the attachments. The majority of these people got into trouble because of these strong attachments.
When we are bringing Jiang Zemin to justice, we must be clear that we do not want to become heroes; neither are we looking for publicity to look good in society. We should stay vigilant and keep the old forces at bay.
Further, we should have all compassion. We should have no self-interest or any thoughts of pursuit. A pure heart is the strongest heart.
BackgroundJiang Zemin single-handedly started the persecution of Falun Gong in 1999. Despite disagreement from the other Politburo standing committee members, he took advantage of his then-position as head of the Chinese Communist Party and imposed his personal will to launch the persecution. The persecution has led to the deaths of many Falun Gong practitioners in the past 16 years. More have been tortured and even killed for their organs. Jiang Zemin and company are directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the persecution.Under his personal direction, the Chinese Communist Party established a Party-based security organ, the 610 Office, on June 10, 1999. The 619 Office is an extralegal organization that overrides the law to execute Jiang's policy regarding Falun Gong: ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and eliminate them physically.Chinese law allows for citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are now exercising their legal right to file criminal complaints against Jiang. To this effect, in its “registration system reform opinions,” the Supreme People's Court in China claims that it is going to change the filing review system to guarantee the registration and processing of all complaints. This new policy was to be in effect as of May 1, 2015.
