(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 15 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 16 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 21 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wen Jianhui and Ms. Jiang Guilan Detained

Mr. Wen Jianhui and his wife Ms. Jiang Guilan from Zhaoyuan City were arrested in Laizhou City by officers from the Laizhou City Police Department and Zhaoyuan City Police Department on May 25, 2015. They were on their way to Beijing to file charges against former dictator Jiang Zemin for his crimes against Falun Gong. They are detained at the Lingnan Brainwashing Center in Linglong Town.

2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Five Practitioners Detained

Five practitioners were arrested by officers from the Zhongnanlu Police Station, Renminlu Police Station, and Guilinjie Police Station on May 25, 2015. Ms. Song Yuhua, Mr. Wu Zhaozhou, Mr. Mao Yonggang, Ms. Liu Min, and Ms. Liu were reading Falun Gong books. They are detained at the Yaojia Detention Center.

3. [Hongjiang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Fan Shunmei and Ms. Yang Yonghua Detained

Ms. Fan Shunmei and Ms. Yang Yonghua were arrested by officers from the Qiancheng Town Police Station on the morning of May 25, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They are detained at the Hongjiang City Detention Center.

4. [Guangan City, Sichuan Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Yang Chengfeng and Mr. Tan Haisheng were arrested by officers from the Zhongqiao Police Station, the Taihe Residence Committee, and the District Police Department on May 24, 2015. They were released after being detained for 24 hours.

Ms. Wei Nianqing and Ms. Xiao Yun were also arrested and are still being detained.

5. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Sheng Hualian, Ms. Zang Aizhi, and Ms. Tang were arrested and taken to the Xushui Town Police Station on May 25, 2015, for distributing Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs. Ms. Sheng and Ms. Zang were released; Ms. Tang was detained for 15 days.

6. [Beijing] Mr. Guo Shulin's Whereabouts Unknown

Mr. Guo Shulin was arrested by officers from the Beizhuang Police Station on May 25, 2015, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police confiscated his Falun Gong books, computer, and media player. His whereabouts is unknown.

7. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Wang Tingmei Detained

Ms. Wang Tingmei was arrested and taken to the Hebin Police Station by plainclothes officers on May 19, 2015, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police confiscated all the Falun Gong books and 1,600 yuan from her that evening. She is detained at the Nanming District Detention Center.

8. [Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Six Practitioners Sentenced

The following six practitioners were sentenced to from four to eight years in prison by the Xuzhou Court on May 13, 2015: Ms. Sun Meiying, Ms. Si Xiuli, Ms. Li Xinrong, Ms. Guo Yanhua, Ms. Liu Qiaozhen, and Ms. Jiang Qun. They are incarcerated in Nantong Prison in Jiangsu Province.

9. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wei Zaixiu Arrested

Ms. Wei Zaixiu was arrested at home by officers from the Dujingjiang Community and the local police station on the afternoon of May 27, 2015. The police ransacked her home and confiscated printers, computers, and Falun Gong books.

10. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhou Qun Sentenced

Ms. Zhou Qun was sentenced to three-and-half-years in prison by the Nongken Court in Qiqihar City on the morning of May 26, 2015.

11. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Fu Yurong Arrested

Ms. Fu Yurong was arrested on May 24, 2015.

12. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Li Chunlian's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Li Chunlian was arrested by officer Yi Chunjun from the 610 Office on May 27, 2015, when she went to the Jiangxia District Court to try to secure the release of fellow practitioners. Her whereabouts is unknown.

13. [Fuyang City, Anhui Province] Mr. Liu Zongzheng’s Whereabouts Unknown

Mr. Liu Zongzheng was arrested on May 20, 2015; his whereabouts is unknown.

14. [Beijing] Ms. Pei Lanfeng Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Pei Lanfeng was recently taken to the Xicheng Brainwashing Center.

15. [Beijing] Mr. Meng Xianghui Detained

Mr. Meng Xianghui, an employee of the Beijing 63963 Squad’s Academy of Armored Forces Engineering, had 10,000 yuan taken from him by his workplace supervisor for refusing to write a guarantee statement. He was arrested and taken to Changping to be detained on May 12, 2015.

16. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Song Henghai Sentenced

Mr. Song Henghai was sentenced to a three-year prison term by the Liuhe District Court on April 20, 2015. He is being held in the Dachang Detention Center in Liuhe District.

17. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Fu Xiuyun Sentenced

Ms. Fu Xiuyun was sentenced to a four-year prison term by the Dujiangyan Court on May 6, 2015.

18. [Baicheng City, Jilin Province] Mr. Wang Zhansheng Persecuted to Death

Mr. Wang Zhansheng, in his 70s, died in early April 2015, as a result of prolonged harassment, intimidation, and physical and psychological torture.

To pressure Mr. Wang and his wife to give up their practice, the public security officers have harassed and intimidated the couple on a regular basis for past 16 years. His wife has been arrested and detained, and their home was ransacked four times. She was forced to leave home to avoid further persecution.

19. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xin Guiqin Sent to Prison in Critical Condition

Ms. Xin Guiqin was sentenced to prison for one year. She vomited blood and fainted when she was in the Dandong No. 1 Detention Center. She was still sent to the Liaoning Women's Prison despite her condition.
