Additional Persecution News from China – June 3, 2015 (12 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 9 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 12 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Li Qingzhi's Home Ransacked

Mr. Li Qingzhi from the Jianye District was reported to the police by someone when he was telling people about Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) a few days ago. The police ransacked his home and confiscated a computer, a DVD burner, and other items.

2. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Mr. Gu Qingbo Arrested

Mr. Gu Qingbo was arrested at home during early morning on June 2, 2015.

3. [Xianning City, Hubei Province] Two Practitioners Detained

Ms. Yang Caiyun and another female practitioner from Dafan Village, the Xianan District were reported to police when they were posting Falun Gong informational materials near the Xianan District Government on the evening of June 1, 2015. Officers from the Shihaoqiao Police Station arrested them. They were taken to the detention at 12:30 a.m. that night.

4. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Elderly Practitioner Fu Detained

Elderly practitioner Fu was reported by someone while distributing Shen Yun DVDs on May 23, 2015. Practitioner Fu was arrested by the police and taken to the Erzhigou Detention Center.

5. [Tahe County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Yang Zongbo's Non-Practitioner Sister Arrested

Officers from the Tahe County Domestic Security Division broke into Mr. Yang Zongbo's home in the afternoon of June 1, 2015. Mr. Yang was not at home. The officers confiscated a cell phone, a computer, and about 10,000 yuan in cash. They also arrested Mr. Yang's non-practitioner elder sister and took her to the police station.

6. [Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Zhao Yuhua Sentenced

Ms. Zhao Yuhua was arrested on July 31, 2014. She was tried by the Arun Banner Court on March 13, 2015 and sentenced to three and a half years in prison. Ms. Zhao filed an appeal and received a receipt from the intermediate court. She is currently being held in the Arun Banner Detention Center.

7. [Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Niu Baocheng and Ms. Niu Shuxia Arrested

After Minghui.org reported on May 24, 2015 that Mr. Niu Baocheng from the Jiawang District was arrested and his home was ransacked, Mr. Niu was arrested again on May 27 by officers from the Jiawang District Domestic Security Division.

On May 28, Ms. Niu Shuxia was arrested by the Jiawang District Domestic Security Division.

Both practitioners, who have been arrested numerous times, are being held in the Juzi Hotel in the Jiawang District.

8. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xu Yajuan Taken to Liaoning Women's Prison

Ms. Xu Yajuan was sentenced to three years in prison by the Linghe District Court. She was transferred from the Jinzhou Detention Center to the Liaoning Women's Prison around May 12, 2015.

9. [Huantai County, Shandong Province] Five Practitioners Face Trial

Mr. Dai Dongwu, Mr. Zhang Yuzhen, from Boxing County, Binzhou City, Ms. Gong Junling, Mr. Wei Qirong, and Ms. Sun Liju, from Huantai County, Zibo City, will be tried for a second time in the Huantai County Court on the morning of June 5, 2015.

10. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Song Ruiping Arrested

Ms. Song Ruiping, 59, from the Longrunhuayuan residential community, Hanting District was reported by someone when she was telling people about Falun Gong on May 19. 2015. She was arrested that afternoon by officers from the Chengdong Police Station, Hanting District.

Officers from the Hanting District Domestic Security Division ransacked her home and confiscated a large number of Falun Gong books, a photo of the founder of Falun Gong, her child's computer, an MP3 player, a small cassette recorder, and a few DVDs.

She was taken to the Weifang Detention Center that afternoon by Domestic Security Division officers, who threatened her family and extorted 20,000 yuan in cash from them. Ms. Song was released that evening.

11. [Jiahe County, Hunan Province] Ms. Xiao Silan and Ms. Hu Yumei Arrested

Ms. Xiao Silan from Chenzhou Motor Transport Group Co., Ltd in Hunan Province and Ms. Hu Yumei from Shiqiu Village, Zhuquan Town were reported to the police by a villager when they were talking to people about Falun Gong and distributing informational materials in Guangfa Township on June 1, 2015. They were arrested and taken to a detention center by officers from the Guangfa Township Police Station and the Jiahe County 610 Office.

12. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Four Practitioners Taken to Brainwashing Center After 15 Days of Detention

Ms. Cao Guiqin, Ms. Yang Dianying, Ms. Tao Yuqing, and Ms. Sun Yanping went to court to file a lawsuit against former Chinese Communist Party leader Jiang Zemin on May 18, 2015. They were arrested and detained for 15 days.

In the early morning hours of June 2, 2015, officers from the 610 Office, the neighborhood committee, and the police department arrived in several cars and waited outside the detention center. They attempted to take the four practitioners to a brainwashing center. Families reasoned with the officers, who called in backup from a special task force.

Ms. Cao was forcibly carried into a police vehicle by two officers. Ms. Tao's husband and two relatives were also arrested.
