Additional Persecution News from China – June 16, 2015 (19 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 19 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 10 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 30 were illegally arrested. Several practitioners seeking to mail letters of complaint regarding Jiang Zemin to the Supreme People's Procuratorate and the Supreme Court have met with obstacles.

1. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Seven Practitioners Arrested

Six practitioners were arrested and three had their homes were ransacked by officers from the Jinzhou City 610 Office, Beijiao Police Station, and Zijing Police Station on the evening of June 11 and the morning of June 12.

Arrested: Ms. He Jiumei, Ms. Zhao Sufen, Ms. Li Weiqin, Ms. Shao, Ms. Zhang Xiaomei, and Ms. Li Weiqin.Homes ransacked: Ms. Wang Xiurong, Ms. Zhang Guilan, and Ms. Li Min.

Ms. Gao Xia, arrested on June 12, was later released.

2. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Several Practitioners Accusing Jiang Zemin Face Obstacles

Four practitioners filed criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party, with the Beixin Village Police Station on June 4, 2015, through the Qinghe Post Office.

When some of the practitioners went to the Chaigoubao Town Post Office on June 13, 2015, to mail their complaints to the Supreme People's Procuratorate and the Supreme Court via express mail, they were told that the authorities had given orders that appeal letters not be sent. A suspicious person in the post office has been on the look out for practitioners trying to mail their complaints.

Mr. Chen Wanxi and his wife Ms. Ge Cuilian went to the Nanguang Post Office to send a letter of complaint against Jiang Zemin on June 11, 2015. They later learned that the letter was not sent.

Mr. Sun Ming's letter of complaint, which he mailed on June 11, 2015, is still being held by a post office in Zhangjiakou City.

Letters of complaint prepared by some practitioners from Guyuan County and mailed on June 10, 2015, have not been sent by by their respective post offices.

3. [Gaotang County, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Bingling Facing Trial

Mr. Li Bingling has been detained at the Jiyuan City Detention Center for 18 months. He is scheduled to be tried on June 24, 2015.

4. [Nongan County, Jilin Province] Mr. Han Xinglong Detained

Mr. Han Xinglong was arrested and taken to the Huanglong Police Station on the afternoon of June 14, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. He is now detained.

5. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Shi Xiaoxue, Ms. Wang Caiyun, and another practitioner were arrested for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. They are detained at the Qinggang County Domestic Security Division. Ms. Shi's husband, Mr. Ji Baoshan was persecuted to death.

6. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Eight Practitioners Arrested

Eight practitioners were arrested on June 1, 2015: Ms. Liu Jiqing, Ms. Wang Xiuli, Ms. Zheng Cuiyu, Mr. Tang Shixing, Ms. Chen Pingfang, Ms. Yin Aimei, Mr. Dong Youcai, and Ms. Fan.

Ms. Yin and Mr. Tang were taken to the Shizishan Brainwashing Center in Wuhan City and Mr. Dong and Ms. Wang to the Qingyuanshanzhuang Brainwashing Center in Macheng City. The other four were released.

7. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Miao Peihua Detained

Ms. Miao Peihua, recently arrested, is being held in the Zhonggong Detention Center.

8. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wan Nianlin Arrested

Mr. Wan Nianlin was arrested by officers from the Dazhang Town Police Station on June 13, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. His home was ransacked by a dozen officers from that station the following day. The police confiscated informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong and a calendar with Falun Gong messages.

9. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Xinfang Detained

Ms. Zhang Xinfang, 49, was arrested by the 610 Office of the Mengyin County Police Department on the evening of June 14, 2015. She is detained at the Mengcheng Police Station.

10. [Anxin County, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Xiaowu Harassed

Mr. Li Xiaowu was harassed at home by the Anxin County 610 Office and Police Station on the morning of June 2, 2015.

Mr. Li was arrested at home and taken to the Anxin County Detention Center during the summer of 2014. He was detained for ten days. The police confiscated all his Falun Gong books and extorted about 10,000 yuan from his family.

11. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Shukun Arrested

Ms. Zhang Shukun was arrested by Nanjing Police Station officers on the morning of June 15, 2015. She was released around 11 p.m. that day.

12. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Song Liyun Arrested

Ms. Song Liyun was arrested at home by seven or eight officers led by the mayor of Shahe Town on the afternoon of June 15, 2015. She was taken to the Dianzi Brainwashing Center.

13. [Jingtai County, Gansu Province] Mr. Zhang Qingde Arrested

Mr. Zhang Qingde was arrested at home on June 15, 2015.

14. [Weinan City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Han Yu Facing Trial

Ms. Han Yu was tried on June 17, 2015.

15. [Ezhou City, Hubei Province] Mr. Cao Zhengguo Arrested

Mr. Cao Zhengguo was arrested on June 13, 2015.

16. [Nanzheng County, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Li Yulan Detained

Ms. Li Yulan, in her 60s, was arrested by officers from the Xiangshui Town Police Station on June 10, 2015. The police ransacked her home the next day. She is detained at the Hantai Detention Center.

17. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Wu Chunjian Detained

Mr. Wu Chunjian is now detained at the Erzhigou Detention Center.

18. [Gaomi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Xiuhua Detained

Ms. Zhang Xiuhua was arrested by officers from the Jinggou Town Police Station on the morning of June 2, 2015, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is detained at the Weifang Detention Center.

19. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zou Deyong Facing Trial

Mr. Zou Deyong from Yantai City was arrested in Beijing on April 12, 2015. The arrest was approved on May 20. His case was submitted to a court by the Changping District Procuratorate in Beijing on June 3.
