(Minghui.org) Public support for Falun Gong practitioners' peaceful resistance to the persecution in China is gaining momentum. Almost 2,000 people signed a petition, to be submitted to the United Nations Human Rights Council, calling for an end to the killing of imprisoned Falun Gong practitioners for their organs in China, an atrocity sanctioned by the communist regime.

Practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises and collected signatures on Toronto Center Island during the 27th Toronto International Dragon Boat Race Festival on June 20-21, 2015. The event attracted nearly 100,000 people from many nations.
Several people learned the Falun Gong exercises on the spot. One tourist said, “I feel I'm connected to the universe.”

John, a New Yorker, said that he had heard about Falun Gong and the persecution in China. He is originally from Poland and says he is fully aware of the nature of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
“The Communist system is the most evil system in the world. I believe that the CCP will meet its end far sooner than people expect. Jiang Zemin, who launched the brutal persecution, will definitely be brought to justice!” John commented.

These two students from Algonquin College in Ottawa said in one voice, “The CCP's harvesting of organs from living individuals is against human rights.”
Norwegian hematologist Dr. Uladimir Tichelaar said, “I've not heard of a government that sanctions forced organ harvesting from living people until now!”
Like many others, Mr. Tran from Vietnam was shocked to learn that people who follow Falun Gong's principles of “Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance” are persecuted, and that the Chinese Communist regime sanctions the killing of practitioners to harvest their organs for profit.
“The CCP should immediately stop its forced organ harvesting atrocities,” he said.
Mr. Hamed Shinwari, originally from Afghanistan, has lived in Toronto for more than 20 years and works for the Canadian Cancer Society. He was eager to learn the Falun Gong exercises.
“Such a good cultivation practice should be publicized, so more people can benefit. I'll tell my friends to also learn it…What's wrong with a practice that teaches people to live by the principles Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance?” he said.
He hopes that not only the Canadian government, but all governments worldwide, will cooperate with one another and call on the Chinese regime to end the persecution of Falun Gong.
Hrage learns the Falun Gong exercises
Hrage from France and his family and friends noticed young Falun Gong practitioners doing the exercises. He was quite interested and wanted to learn them on the spot.
“I had a wonderful feeling. I felt I was connected with the universe, the heaven, and the earth. I'm grateful to have met up with Falun Gong today,” he said.
He also expressed the wish that practitioners in China will gain their freedom soon.
Joseph, Mark, and Jennifer learn the Falun Gong exercises
Three young people who participated in the Dragon Boat Race learned the meditation exercise of Falun Gong after watching the young practitioners.
“Very enlightening, a wonderful experience!” said Mark, a computer engineer.
“Very comfortable, relaxed, and peaceful!” commented Joseph.
Jennifer said that she was drawn by a peaceful energy as they passed by, so they decided to stop and learn.
“I want to learn the Falun Gong exercises and become a practitioner when I return to China,” said a Chinese woman from the southeastern coast of China.
“We were given Falun Gong informational DVDs in Korea, and we see you here again,” said one of two tourists from Beijing. “This cultivation practice looks peaceful and benefits people's health. We may learn it someday, too.”
“We have decided to learn Falun Gong,” said the husband of a family of three immigrants (husband, wife, and child) from Shanghai. “We often see people doing the exercises at the entrance to Taigu Square. This is quite convenient for us to meet practitioners.”
