(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 18 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 8 were illegally arrested.

1. [Wuhan City, Hubei] Ms. Xiang Hanqin Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Xiang Hanqin, in her 70s, was arrested by officers from the Jiyuqiao Police Station in Wuchang District on June 4, 2015, for distributing Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs.

She was taken to the Yangyuan Brainwashing Center, where she started a hunger strike. She was transferred to the Wuhan City Women's Detention Center on June 9 for ten days. She was then taken back to the Yangyuan Brainwashing Center on June 19. When her family came to see her, the guards beat them.

2. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yang Zebi Sentenced

Ms. Yang Zebi was sentenced to a three-year prison term by the Longquan Court.

3. [Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Yanhong Sentenced

Ms. Li Yanhong was sentenced to a three-year prison term on June 9, 2015.

4. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zou Hui's Sentence Upheld

Ms. Zou Hui was sentenced to a 7.5-year prison term by the Shahekou District Court. She appealed to the Dalian Intermediate Court, which upheld the verdict.

5. [Beijing] Seven Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhao Haiying and six other practitioners were arrested on the morning of June 24, 2015.

6. [Luobei County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Fengxia Arrested

Ms. Liu Fengxia was arrested by officers from the Baoquanling Police Department on June 23, 2015 for talking to the public about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was taken to the Suibinnongchang Detention Center that evening. Police ransacked her home.

7. [Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Shen Wenying Detained

Ms. Shen Wenying was arrested on June 23, 2015 for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is detained at the Fangqian Police Station.

Ms. Shen was arrested on January 30, 2015 and released in early May.

8. [Nehe City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhang Haitao and Mr. Shen Shilong Detained

Mr. Zhang Haitao and Mr. Shen Shilong were arrested by officers from the Nehe City Domestic Security Division on the evening of May 13, 2015, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police ransacked their homes and confiscated a computer and a printer. They were detained at the Nehe City Detention Center.

9. [Changle City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zheng Fuxiang Persecuted

Mr. Zheng Fuxiang was reported to police on the afternoon of March 20, 2015, for painting the words "The CCP is an evil cult" on slogans which slandered Falun Gong. The police harassed and threatened his family that they would put him on the Internet wanted list.

10. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Two Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Wang Yanxia and Ms. Ren Hua were arrested and taken to the Hepingnanlu Police Station on June 22, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police ransacked their homes, but nothing was confiscated. Ms. Ren was released at noon. Mr. Wang was taken to the Taiyuan City Detention Center at midnight.

11. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Mr. Yan Dianfang and Ms. Zhao Shufan Arrested

Mr. Yan Dianfang and his wife Ms. Zhao Shufan were arrested and taken to Tuchengzi Police Station in Longtan District on June 23, 2015. Police ransacked their home and confiscated Falun Gong books and a small radio. They were released at midnight.

12. [Qufu City, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Xie Yi and Ms. Huang Chunling were both sentenced to five-year prison terms. They are detained at the Jining City Detention Center, and are holding a hunger strike to protest the persecution.

Ms. Liu Honglan and Ms. Wang Qin were sentenced to five years and four years in prison, respectively. They appealed their sentences, but the Jining City Court upheld the original verdicts.

13. [Chongqing] Ms. Yu Dehui Detained

Ms. Yu Dehui is being detained at the Yubei District Detention Center.

14. [Shaowu City, Fujian Province] Ms. Wang Chun Tried

Ms. Wang Chun was arrested in February 2015 for distributing informational brochures about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is detained at the Shaowu Detention Center and was tried on May 27, 2015.

15. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Ding Meilan’s Home Ransacked

Ms. Ding Meilan’s home was ransacked by more than ten officers from the Shanqian Police Station on the morning of June 24, 2015. The police seized Falun Gong books and other personal belongings.

16. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Five Practitioners’ Whereabouts Unknown

Several practitioners were arrested and had their homes ransacked on June 17, 2015. The whereabouts of Mr. Liang Baofan, Ms. Wang Wenjun, Ms. Yang Mingyan, and two others are unknown.
