(Minghui.org) I was busy helping fellow practitioners collect data in an effort to support lawsuits against Jiang Zemin. I wrote up some lawsuit documents and sent them out.
The next morning when I practiced the sitting meditation, my legs became very painful. This exercise had not hurt over the past several years.
I had a hard time finishing the one-hour sitting meditation. I asked myself, “What’s wrong? It is either karma or an indication that I did not do something right.”
I burned incense in front of Master's photo in the morning. I saw Master had tears in his eyes and looked at me with pity. I questioned what I had not done well that worried Master.
I then realized I needed to help fellow practitioners with my righteous thoughts, rather than using my everyday notions during the momentum of filing criminal lawsuits against Jiang Zemin. The latter was arranged by the old forces.
If we are able to finish a project independently, the wisdom is granted by Master, along with the ideas and insights provided by the community of Falun Gong practitioners through the Minghui website, and the joint efforts of fellow practitioners. Without Dafa, we are not able to do anything.
Following One's Own Path
A few days ago, one practitioner asked me to write a lawsuit letter for her so that she could simply sign her name. She had broken her leg and had to walk with a cane.
I suggested that she write the letter herself since it was a course for each Dafa disciple to take and clarify the facts about the persecution. I corrected the letter for her after she wrote it. Then I thought I could mail it for her since it was inconvenient for her to go outside with her leg hurt. I would take her lawsuit when I accompanied the other practitioners to the post office.
She gave me a copy of her identification, but the next day I could not find it. Another practitioner went to her home to get it but could not find it in her house. Later, I went to her house and found the copy was still on her table.
I realized this was not accidental. Perhaps, it was a hint from Master to separate her human notions and to go forward to the post office with righteous thoughts and mail the document herself.
She was very unhappy about this idea and thought what I said was not right. She gave many reasons why she should not go herself.
I felt upset for a while. Then I thought about Master's teaching:
“…and once he has learned to discern what is truly good from evil, and virtue from vice, and he goes beyond the human plane, he will see and gain access to the realities of the universe as well as the lives of other dimensions and planes.” (“On Dafa”)
I thought that it was permitted to file a lawsuit against Jiang with our fellow practitioners. But I should not use human notions to replace their required effort. Every Dafa practitioner needs to walk on the path arranged by Master. Each Dafa disciple has to take the test alone and it should not be done by others.
After mailing the letter, I realized that “I did it for her” today. On the surface it seemed to be a good thing, but actually it was not. In this way, I may have destroyed the path that Master arranged for her and followed what the old forces had arranged instead. Although she was unable to understand me today, she will later. By thinking about this, I no longer felt bad.
Their Can Be No Omissions
There were five practitioners in our Fa group study. Only one of them was able to use a computer.
I told that practitioner how to complete the lawsuit document against Jiang electronically. I then told the other practitioners to explain how they were persecuted and corrected their document according to the example provided on the Minghui website. Their articles were then printed.
There was an 84-year-old practitioner with some illnesses from karma, so a new practitioner in the group study said she would take the lawsuit document to the post office for this older practitioner. I had the thought that, as practitioners, we should not have the notion of old age. We had all agreed after a discussion that he could go mail it himself, despite his illnesses.
The son of the elderly practitioner called a taxi to take him to the post office. Several other practitioners and I met the practitioner there, and he said that he had not traveled that far in many years.
I told them to mail the lawsuit document independently, and that I would send righteous thoughts for them. I also reminded them how to fill out the express mail form. The elderly practitioner said his hand was shaking, so he wanted me to do it for him.
I told him to cast off the attachment of being dependent and to write with more focus. So he wrote with his shaky hand. The other practitioners also finished it and they were very happy. The older practitioner said, “Master has removed lots of bad stuff from my body.”
Working as One Body and Individually
Some practitioners are good at writing and some are good technicians. When they help their fellow practitioners, they need to be careful. They should use the righteous thoughts of cultivators rather than the notions of everyday people. Only then can they help their fellow practitioners to strengthen their own righteous thoughts.
That is, they should not rely on the ways of everyday people. If they are not in line with Dafa, many attachments will emerge, such as showing off, looking down on others, and complacency.
Other practitioners may develop a fear of persecution or thoughts of a lack of education. Other may have notions on being unable to write well, believing that the effort is too hard, or looking up to those practitioners who are good technicians. Some may even admire those practitioners who are good at something. It seems that these notions are just the opposite of what Master wants.
Master said:
“To save a person is to save what’s at the core of a person. And what’s at the core is reflected in his thoughts and spirit, whereas superficial things may not be very important.” (“Fa Teaching Given at the 2015 New York Fa Conference”)
I realized that filing lawsuits against Jiang is for Dafa disciples to assist with the cosmic changes taking place, to assist Master with rectification of the Fa, and to save more sentient beings. It is thus amid the course of cultivation. It also helps practitioners cast off their mindset of the Party culture, which was established by the Chinese Communist Party.
We, as Dafa practitioners, should not only do the surface work with feelings of hatred or revenge. Each of us needs to meet the new cosmos’s standards and to save more people with purer minds and divine thoughts.
