(Minghui.org) Fifteen-year-old Ms. Wang Yue recently filed a complaint with the Supreme Procuratorate against former dictator Jiang Zemin, for initiating the persecution of Falun Gong. In her complaint, Ms. Wang explains how the persecution tore her family apart. Her mother, Ms. Cong Zhanqing, was unlawfully arrested and imprisoned many times, and her father divorced her mother due to the intense pressure.
A Tearful Childhood
“My father divorced my mom in 2003 because she had been arrested many times, and he was under a lot of pressure. I was three years old at the time. I cried nearly every night for my mom. My dad made me live with him because he was worried that if I was with my mom and she got arrested, I couldn't grown up well,” she wrote.
“When I was about five, I started living with my mom. However, I lost my mom once more when she was arrested again in March 2008. I cried uncontrollably and couldn't sleep, as we couldn't get any news about her.”
“I am 15 years old now, but I don't even have a photograph of my family together,” she added.
Harshly Treated at School
Ms. Wang continued, “Knowing that my mom was a Falun Gong practitioner, I was despised and shunned by teachers and classmates, because of the communist regime's vicious propaganda against Falun Gong. The teacher forced all the students to sign a piece of paper stating Falun Gong was a 'cult.'”
Ms. Wang pointed out, “According to Article 36 of the Constitution of the People’s Republic of China: Citizens of the People’s Republic of China enjoy freedom of religious belief. Therefore, my mom's practicing Falun Gong is not wrong.”
Ms. Wang also wrote on behalf of other children like her, stating, “The situations for other children whose parents practice Falun Gong are similar, if not worse. Some have even never spent time with their mother or father because they were tortured to death. They also couldn't go to school like normal children.”
“I, therefore, am suing Jiang Zemin for causing my family so much tragedy, and I hope to bring him to justice.”
Background
In 1999, Jiang Zemin, as head of the Chinese Communist Party, overrode other Politburo standing committee members and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong.
The persecution has led to the deaths of many Falun Gong practitioners in the past 16 years. More have been tortured for their belief and even killed for their organs. Jiang Zemin is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution.
Under his personal direction, the Chinese Communist Party established an extralegal security organ, the “610 Office,” on June 10, 1999. The organization overrides police forces and the judicial system in carrying out Jiang's directive regarding Falun Gong: to ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.
Chinese law allows for citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are now exercising that right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.
