(Minghui.org) I am 45 years old and work for a governmental agency. I started practicing Falun Dafa in 1996, and previously I knew nothing about computers. I am now considered a technically skilled practitioner.
This skill is strengthened by Master, who gave me the wisdom so I could easily learn how to use computers. Actually, when we have the wish to contribute to the Fa and save sentient beings, Master will give us everything we need.
The Speed Seems Faster When There Are Less Human Notions
Everything is about cultivation, and is related to cultivation of one's xinxing and enlightenment. During the process of my fixing computer issues for fellow practitioners, it is not only about the problem or about technical skills, but also about xinxing cultivation.
I once fixed a computer for a practitioner from a rural area. When we tested it after I was done, her speed was faster than mine. I wondered why this was so, and I realized it was because of my notions: The practitioner from the rural area had fewer human notions and only thought about going to the Minghui website and preparing materials to awaken sentient beings.
Therefore, she couldn't be taken advantage of or interfered with, and her operation speed was fast. On the contrary, my thinking was more complicated with many human notions; thus I was interfered with and taken advantage of, which created obstacles for me.
Finally, I installed a printer driver for her. “Give it a try,” I said. “If there is any problem, I will reinstall it.” She said there would be no problems.
I realized that I had human notions while she did not.
Master said, “Good or evil comes from that instant thought.” (“Lecture Four” in Zhuan Falun). Each thought has energy, and sometimes the problem occurs because we essentially seek it based on our spontaneous thought.
As Master said:
“As a practitioner, if you always think that it is an illness, you are actually asking for it. If you ask for an illness, it will come inside your body.” (“Lecture Six” in Zhuan Falun).
I think this was Master pointing out my problem—that I had too many human notions.
From then on, I decided never to tell practitioners, “If you have any problems, come ask me.”
How to Troubleshoot
During the process of fixing computers, I often found that it was not because of a problem with the computer; rather, it was because of my inappropriate handling of fellow practitioners.
Sometimes, the problem was rather simple and could be solved when we looked it up in the manual and followed the instructions. However, some practitioners who are not knowledgable about computers might think the problem is not simple and would not want to try.
I understand it is because fellow practitioners have notions of “high tech” and an attachment to depending on other practitioners. Because of such notions, they can overestimate the problem and underestimate themselves.
I no longer leave right after I fix a computer. Instead, I share experiences with them and teach them how to use the manual and let go of the attachment of depending on others.
In this way, everyone can be a technically skilled practitioner, and everyone can have a materials-production site.
Righteous Thoughts
When one practitioner's computer had problems again, I asked her if she had rebooted the computer. I asked her to give it a try, yet I felt that it was because of interference. I sent forth righteous thoughts.
When I contacted her two days later, she said the computer returned to normal.
One fellow practitioner was moving and took her refrigerator and washing machine to her mother's house. Then, her mother said they both stopped working and that someone needed to come fix them. The fellow practitioner said to these two machines, “It was not that I did not want you. I only temporarily put you there. You should remember, 'Falun Dafa is good.'” The technician who came to repair them said there was nothing at all wrong with these two machines. Even now, they still work fine.
I enlightened that we should use our righteous thoughts to deal with everything benevolently and to save them. In fact, when they have problems, it is a chance for us to cultivate our righteous thoughts.
Attachment of Showing Off
I once installed a system for a practitioner. I told him how to use it while I was installing it; however, after I was done I could not put data into the encrypted disk, even though I tried many times. I had to go back home to look it up.
At home, I found there was a video of how to install the system on my notebook computer that I had with me the whole time. Why did I not see it then? I looked within and realized that it was my attachment of showing off.
During the process of fixing computers for practitioners, I sometimes find myself being praised by them. The attachment then becomes more severe. Even then, I knew I should expose it and let it go.
The next time I saw this practitioner, I shared with him my understandings. I said it was my attachment and not my true self that acted as such before. I added that I wanted to disintegrate that part of me when I expose it.
I successfully installed the encrypted disk after our discussion.
Nothing happens by accident. As long as we want to cultivate, we can see our attachments behind things.
We should use our supernormal abilities to look at everything and not be controlled by human notions or evil thoughts. Under righteous circumstances, Dafa's mighty powers can be demonstrated, and we can have more power to validate the Fa and save more sentient beings.
