Postal Official Says “Go Ahead!” to Sending Criminal Complaints Against Former Dictator Jiang Zemin

July 03, 2015 |

(Minghui.org) Two practitioners and I went to a nearby post office to mail criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin, the former communist dictator, for launching and directing the persecution of Falun Gong in China.

I saw a police officer sitting next to the express mail window as we walked in. This reminded me of obstacles that other practitioners had experienced from police when they tried to mail their complaints against Jiang. Nonetheless, we walked to the window without hesitation.

“Express mail, please,” I said to the young staff member working there.“Where is it going to?” he asked.“The Supreme Court and the Supreme Procuratorate,” I replied.“What is it about?” he responded.“Suing Jiang Zemin,” another practitioner said as we handed in the package through the window.

Right at that moment, a police officer walked towards the entrance. “Was he calling for backup to arrest us?” I thought, watching him closely. But he did not pick up his phone; instead he stopped right by the entrance and stood there.

“We have received a directive,” the young man said. “No express mail service for Falun Gong.”

One of us began chatting with him, and we told him how innocent practitioners had suffered tremendously as a result of Jiang's persecution.

“Wait there and let me check,” his tone softened as he contacted his supervisor.

The manger came out, but she was not sure what to do.“I have to ask someone about it,” she said, and made a call. But nobody answered.

“Let's get out of here,” I suggested, thinking we would be arrested shortly. But the other two practitioners did not budge. They continued to explain how Jiang and the communist regime had defamed Falun Gong in the past 10 plus years.

“You Falun Gong practitioners are really brave—and you dare to send lawsuits like this?!” the young man asked. “Are you saying that the suppression will be over soon?”

The office manager continued making calls to superiors and eventually reached a higher level official.

“How should I handle Falun Gong mail?” She asked over the phone.“What kind of mail?” We could hear the conversation several feet away.“Suing Jiang Zemin,” The manager said, “addressed to the Supreme Court and the Supreme Procuratorate.”“Go ahead!” the official answered, loud and clear.

The young man helped us with our mail, and we received a receipt confirmation text message the next day.

We were very happy because more people now know what is right and wrong.

Background

In 1999 Jiang Zemin, as head of the Chinese Communist Party, overrode other Politburo standing committee members and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong.

The persecution has led to the deaths of many Falun Gong practitioners over the past 16 years. More have been tortured for their belief and even killed for their organs. Jiang Zemin is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution.

Under Jiang's personal direction, the Chinese Communist Party established an extralegal security organ, the 610 Office. The 610 Office one of the main ways Jiang's directives are carried out in the persecution against Falun Gong practitioners: to ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.

Chinese law allows for citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are now exercising their right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.
